there needs to be a comment only rule in place this way you can see who would dare to vote all these bad votes..no model at all none of them on this site are below a 4-5 so somebody giving 1s is purely for sabotaging some others scores.this needs to be put in place asap and you'll never have this problem again.

I have to say that I'm disgusted with what has been happening with the Dark Age competition!
Several of the higher scoring miniatures were targeted by someone who has obviously set up some kind of scoring 'robot'.
In one particular case 181 deliberate low scores were assigned to a miniature in the space of 30 minutes and it was obvious that these were not genuine scores but serious attempts to skew the voting.

Thanks for weighing in DR. I figured something like this was going on. It's pretty childish, but I guess par for the course for the internet. I have to say I am still enjoying the contest and I hope CMON does more like it. I really enjoyed watching the Rivet Wars comp too. I think a lot of painters can't travel for competitions and internet competitions are fun (mostly) and push people to paint better which is what it is all about. I'm sure there is a way to avoid the down vote spam in the future.

How about a contest where only registered users are allowed to vote? That way, even if someone wants to snipe, they can only vote once per figure.

Demi, I really like the orc warboss. Great idea for a base and the painting on the orc is coming along nicely too!

Thanks for keeping an eye on these things for us DR.

And WHAM! I'm at 6,3. I've been past 8 twice today, fell down to 7 something and now I've been knocked back down.

It actually kinda amuses me. Someone wants to win really bad. :)

Just make that 360 sniping votes over three mini's.
if I could truly identify the perpetrator........

Well let's just say I can be a real Bastard if needs be!

I noticed one mini still over 8... Of course, that doesn't prove a thing.
Well, here's the thing. Gentle Ben does some painting SBS articles over at BOLS. BOLS is um, I'll try to be diplomatic here... Well, they seem to have a lot of angry negative folks in the comments and there is just a lot of nerd rage there. I used to be on their blog roll and i used to fly their banner but over the last 3 years the haters have made the site unsavory at best. Many claim they have sold out and that everything is "click bait". It's just a really negative experience so maybe some of the juvenile folks from over there came here for the contest. It would explain the number of unregistered votes on a lot of the entries. Perhaps all non registered votes should be discarded for contests? It's a pity because BOLS has some very good articles and fun comics and I love the outside the box post on Fridays to show new releases from tones of mini companies, but the over all experience has become unwelcoming now :(

Bols is starting to remind me of Fox news....if ya know what I mean.

I don't know if its possible but shouldn't only registered cmon folks be able to vote, and wouldn't that mean one vote per person via their IP. That would make the votes count wouldn't it? I don't know if it can be done, just throwing an idea out there.

I do think though we should move the voting debate to another thread somewhere so Demi can have his wiplog back though.

Well, I am excited to see how the contest shakes out.

I decided I am going to add a grot to the Warboss base because why not? The grot will be pointing to his handy work with the informative sign he has just painted.

Here's the grot. Waiting for the green stuff to dry so I can finish sculpting his paint brush. I hope i can fit a W&N on there :D

Hey dems do you ever blackline.....or browline.I personally do it yeah its boring but it would further have things be distinguished by first glance..it's basically used for drawing a dark brown or dark gray line applied to the areas like where the Arm meets the claw and where the back totem meets the flesh, where the guns meet the holsters etc etc it's a great tech and I honestly would think this already winning paintjob would benefit from that.give it a shot you'll see.
