The base is sufficiently bizarre and alien to match with the model. I will add to the chorus of compliments you are receiving by simply stating 10/10.

May I inquire, good sir, as to whence the base was purchased? Did it come like that or is this a scratch build? I know that the plants were added, but I am curious about the gears and the cover. Very cool....

Haha! Dremeled laundry detergent bottle topper with gears from an old 8mm camera and a cheap-o plastic 35mm from the bygone days of film. I was going to hassle you for not following my wip again, but I guess I never posted the picture. I wanted to add that gear and axle behind her but it looked too crowded.
I made the mesh leaves out of speaker grill from an old portable CD player and some aviation snips. as you snip the metal it gives the piece you cut off a really nice curve. I made the leaves on the tentacles with it too after being inspired by a tomato vine. I need to make some Aleph infinity bases or something with that mesh. Maybe Techno Tiraniyds? Or like, Dark Tau I'll try and type up a little SBS on the tentacles and mesh. It was really easy.
BfoK I have been thinking a lot about our Wamp ladder. I think we need to do space marines or something else with lots of hard lines and minimal skin, or totally nearly naked full on skin. What do you say?
