Thanks guys! I should get Deneghra in the gallery tomorrow or the next day. Here is the latest project:

The FW stuff is really neat but man these guys were a bear to put together. I mean I get that it's supposed to be like advanced modeling, but nothing is fitted for you. Every single joint has to be basically sculpted and pinned. I take that back, the guns go together pretty easy once you puzzle it out, And of course I was short some rights and got extra lefts, no biggy as there were a couple of extra goodies and hands to make it all work, but quite an adventure. How do you guys like my sand bags? I am hoping to do some fun very small water effects in the boot prints and ruts I sculpted in the "mud".

Primer tomorrow!

Here's a better shot of said boot print:

Awesome. I'm sure it will take paint really nicely!
Your units (which I think KruleBear accurately calls little vignettes) have got a lot of what you might call 'density of information'. You've avoided the visual sprawl that mars so many well-painted, well executed pieces. The footprints and the puddles you'll put there are a perfect example of filling up potentially empty space in a way that actually contributes to the story- I know from the number and position of the prints and the tracks that these two guys are part of a larger column of troops and equipment.
I can't wait to see the work progress.

Okay guys, in other news I am going to start teaching a small workshop last Sunday of every month here in Sunny Santa Cruz California!

I am really excited. I hope it works out and that people are interested.

I know everyone on here lives really far away, but it is a lovely little tourist town with beaches and shops and stuff. We have a guest bedroom... with a nice painting station :)

Greetings fellow Californian! I just started reading your WIP and am quite impressed with your work :) Your idea to make a cup out of a sprue with a dremel is GENIUS! I've been trying to figure out how to do something like that for beer/wine bottles for a while. I was also hoping to know what kind of resin you used for your bone giant in the water. I'd like to make a few dioramas with free-standing water features and think acrylic resin is the best thing to use.

By the way, the sandbags you are using for your DKoK models look great! Did you sculpt them?

Anyways, I'll be following your WIP from now on :)

By the way, Santa Cruz is sorta far from LA right?
