ACES!!! And i love the way they pop on those bases! I am doing up an ironstrider for the NOCF this year to auction off as well as maybe a couple of WoK werewolves and possibly a malifaux demon lady. we'll see if i can get 4 minis done to display standard in 4-5 months o_O

Maybe you can tell me how to assemble that Iron Strider. It looks like a beast.

Everything looks great, Demi! I love your write-up on the Prometheus - as I mentioned earlier, I got a whole Isaac force sitting on my shelf, waiting for me to tire of Warmachine and paint them. I'm seriously considering using this approach on the whole force, it would be fast and fun.

i assembled everything, but the rider and gun. It's not hat complex but a TON of fiddly little bits and bobs which take what feels like forever -_- Let's just say it's hasn't improved my opinion of the mechanicum aesthetic any ;) If you are missing the instructions let me know and i'll upload them and send them to you.

nah, it's pretty open. I dry fit stuff first and took my brush to it as i went to see if there would be any problem areas for me to reach and just left those unassembled. Mines gonna be pretty heavy with the powders and such and i figure lots of forced contrast so i can hide any hard to reach super fine details with heavy shadows too :)

Hey Guys!

I got the DKOK stubber teams up in the Gallery if you want to go see:

They certainly have some issues but they were a fun project. Probably should have gone back with some matte sealer or at least tried for less glarey pics, but there you go.

Finishing up 2 Admech FW Thanatars:

I am using the sponge technique for the battle damage and it came out okay, but it's not my favorite. It does look close to the FW paint jobs, which I guess is cool. Though some of those FW paint jobs are really bad. One challenge with battle damage over red is that it doesn't show rust very well. I am excited to get some good pics of these guys up though. Okay TTFN!

Oh BTW, the Thanatars are really nice models with a bunch of posing options and neat little modeling possibilities. If you are looking for a giant robot project I think this is a good one.

do you unload the foam on something before to apply to the surface? that could be it too. Experiments are good, they make us grow :)

It's been a month! Well I have been painting a ton although almost exclusively commission stuff. I am trying to get a project finished for the local Con coming up at the end of the month. These three characters are going to be in a vignette together facing the viewer.

My working name for the project is "Parley" My thinking is that it's like a D&D encounter where the characters have stumbled upon a strong enemy and are trying to get out of fighting them. Does that make sense? The other idea I had was "The Troll King's Emissary" The purple lady with body guard an adviser.

I think I might ditch the green on the Kobold. Or maybe just try to really mute it.
