I can\'t fault them for supporting their cause - the fur industry is horribly inhumane, which is why I only use synthetic brushes.
However, they didn\'t have to be total a$$&@!es about it.
\"We\'re big fans of your music, but we\'d like to talk to you about this thing we don\'t like....\" and \"We\'ve got this DVD. We could show it to you now, or you could take it home and watch it later, would you mind?\"
That\'s a whole lot better way to convince someone.
Shortsighted pig-headed publicity hounds.
Don\'t they see that harassing Beyonce will only make them look bad, and could convince her not to wear fur simply to avoid being bothered, but does not persuade her at all. Wouldn\'t it be better for their cause if she came out and said \"know what, I\'ve looked into it and I\'ve decided it\'s inhumane to wear fur so I\'m not wearing any more fur\" than simply for her to stop wearing it.

I went to watch the video of the lunch with the PETA members.
First I had to wait through an Oscar Meyer comercial.lol
Okay, I take back what I said before. The PETA people are unfairly railed by that article. They were actually very civil. Beyonce just came off looking stupid and her publicist was the one who came off looking rude.
A more accurate headline would have been \"Beyonce kicks out her guests when they talk about fur.\"

Vince, sounded like an ambush/setup to me. They planned to bring a DVD player to the lunch that they won on ebay? Talk about tasteless -\"here let me show you this video of lots of animals being cruelly killed and skinned and blood and stuff while we eat lunch.\"

PETA is notorious for their ambush tactics - throwing paint on fur coats, breaking into labs and releasing animals, etc.

Well, I agree they were sort of there under false pretenses. They were not uber fans wanting to fawn over their idol. However, Beyonce sold the lunch. She owed it to whoever bought it, for whatever purpose they bought it.
They did not know she would wear fur, and as far as I could tell she was not wearing fur. They just asked her why such a beautiful and talented person (their words) would include fur in her clothing line when fur is so cruelly harvested.
I\'m not clear whether they intended to show her the Pamela Anderson video at the lunch. They just said they had a DVD they\'d like her to watch.
The publicist started to claim how they had visited the fur farms and found the animals well treated, but when asked how they killed the animals she said \"I don\'t know. You have to leave now.\"

I know as soon as I caught on to what my guests were up to, I would of said “ goodnight” and left.
and yes, I know how fur and meat animals are raised and slaughtered...I’ve slaughtered a few chickens & rabbits for Sunday dinner.

I think an organisation wanting people to act ethicaly would behave in such a manner themselves. Maybe they were being perfectly reasonable at this lunch but I certainly wouldn\'t take their word for that. They lie, they bully and they encourage intimidation and violence. I have absolutely no time for them.

I didn\'t. That was my assessment of the video. One of the PETA members apparently had a video camera hidden in her purse.
