Dremel cares about us!

That is pretty cool, I do admit it\'s a hassle to haul out my full size rotary tool and flex shaft just to remove a base or whatever. But I must give props to my Mastercraft brand rotary tool from Canadian Tire, I was actually able to use it to grind the sleeves off a mini\'s arms, leaving them as bare skin, without pooching anything and requiring only minor hand file cleanup afterwards!

I wouldn\'t be surprised. There are a lot of gamers who love them and use them. Dremel that is.

Well, not really, lots of us refer to it as \"Crappy Tire\", but it IS a good place to buy hardware and tools. Alas, nowadays the spot-faced sales associates know nothing so you do have to know what you need. Also you get Canadian Tire Money :D

Ok. I always hear Canadians getting really cool things from Candian Tires.

I understand what you mean about the associates. My grip is withthe guys at Staples. Last year I wanted to buy my wfie a PDA for Christmas. I know zilch about those things. And I stood in looking at them for ten minutes until someone came to help me. All of them were standing around and talking.

Sounds like a lot of shops in the UK. Minimum Wage = Minimum Attention.

Edit:
Been away trying to get a look at the Dremel Tool. Looks very handy (no pun intended) I just hope that the universal chuck will fit onto it.
Now how can I pursuade my missus.............. (nope not a chance!)

I\'m not even going to try to persuade the missus... just sneak out and buy one. Looks like it would save a bunch of time, my regular Dremel doesn\'t have the accuracy I want, this one might do the trick.

I am interested in if it would as well. From looking at it though I do not think it will. I will be sticking with my existing one with the flex shaft, I think the flex shaft still makes it easier to reach tight areas.

Since a good number of you guys use dremels, what bit do you use?

I haven\'t found one that came with it that I am happy with.

Finally picked up a cordless dremmel last year and this comes out.

As for bits I use a Diamond tip set I got at Candian Tire. I mainly picked it up due to the extremely fine balls and points they had, perfect for getting in those hard to reach places.

Was going to put up a link, but searching for dremmel bits online is almost as bad as searching \'redhead\'

This thing looks good, but it\'s gonna be years before it gets to Denmark ...when it does it\'ll cost twice as much as anywhere else.:(

Search for them; try Micro-mart
& Shesto tools.

I\'m pretty excited about it actually, as I\'m getting more confortable with greenstuff, I\'m getting bolder about what I\'m willing to grind off. Definately going to pick one up once it\'s out and give it a whirl. As for bits, usually small rounded ones, not exactly sure what they\'re called

I use a high-speed cutter bits, like these:

Specifically the spherical, cylindrical and cone-shaped varieties. You can mill a lot of pewter off a mini with amazing precision (or make a horrific mistake very quickly if your hand slips!)
