What ?!!! I had no idea you lived in france !!! :p:moon:;)

As for drinking I only drink when at parties with other people. Never saw the point in drinking alone.
And itchy you\'re not going to drop dead if you drink before 21 ;)

Well, after 3 months of not drinking anything remotely alcoholic and more year of not getting really smashed, a week from saturday I plan on altering my conscious to the point I\'m seeing things.

Which is the whole point of alcohol anyway.

Course it\'ll be Cuba Libre\'s but what the hell, can handle the hangover.

This week I shall be mostly drinking water.

Yes! Water!

When I was at university some of the lads on my course were doing Calpol (brand of childrens cough medicine) and vodka. Apparently it got them really f*cked.

They said it was great stuff.... apart from one of them who was violently sick in a club... bright pink vomit everywhere!

hmm...

I had a buddy that served in the 1st Gulf War (remember that one?) anyhow, since alcohol was a no-no, they\'d resort to taking shots of Nyquil (the nightime, sniffling, sneezing, coughing, stuffy head, so you can sleep medicine)

They\'d call it Quillin\'...

eh eh, not bad for some replacement wine :p
Only kiding, california does have some potable wines, but I think the vast majority of them are still in wine country. Italie as some good ones too I believe. If you\'re into wine you should check out a movie called \'mundovino\', good movie, but a bit long.

Australia has some good wines too, if I remember right.

My friends and I are still trying to figure out the recipe for the Black Orchids that they serve that the Mercury. I guess there are multiple recipes for that drink, but the one at the Merc seems to have...well...most of the whites, Bombay Sapphire, and a float of Chambord. We haven\'t quite gotten the mix quite right at the last few parties though. :p

I\'m not a fan of liquor. hate teh taste of the stuff.
I do however like me some beer!

BUT

I cannot stomache teh really big name brands (Budweiser, Michelobe, Coors, Miller etc. )
I prefer my beers dark and woody so I normally get microbrews.
Boulevard Wheat and Pale Ales are a local brew that is very tasty, and Colorado has some good ales as well (Fat Tire).

My favorite drink however is a nice tall Black and Tan; (Guinness and Bass Pale Ale)
Mmmmmmmmm!

Just interested in experimentation. Mind you when you consider the other stuff they were likely taking, a bit of cough syrup and vodka was tame!

@frenchkid - Chile and Australia are comming right along. They both put out some good wines. I would love to come and see your wine region some day. I think it would be beautful.

Nah, i\'m a pretty good kid. Short of a LONG PAST suicide attempt and running away from college once, i don\'t put too much worry on my parental units. Drugs, nah... fermented coolaid, nah. High on life baby:cool:

RD: Alchohol IS a depressant;)

DR: The local radio show does a \"Drunk Show\" (shot every break) to show people how you think you\'ve only done a little boozin, but your really smashed and don\'t know it every St. Patricks Day and they were doing vodka. A listener called in and told them if you really chill it, i mean ice cold, that it tastes REALLY good. Don\'t know myself, but maybe it works with what you drink too. Might just be an alchohol thing???

I wouldn\'t recomand that, we had some vodka straight out of the freezer once, and that thing is mean. Goes straight to the head, plus I can\'t stand cold drinks in the first place :p
