Driving Test

Well done!

Cars and driving are just expensive! Especially when you shove your tow-bar through the front sill of a BMW 3 series...

Don\'t assume there\'s not a car behind you, even when you looked in the mirror 3 seconds ago. That\'s all I\'ll say...

\'Grats dude! Have a (non-alcoholic)! :)

Makes me miss my car, but the public transport\'s alright here for most of the things I want to do, so I\'m happy to leave it for now. Haven\'t really driven in over three years, so I may actually take a couple of refresher lessons before I put rubber to tarmac again.

Congrats Rev. It\'s been said but watch out for all the idiots out there who think there\'s no-one else on the road. Oh yeh, don\'t drink and drive - you might spill it.

statistically texting while driving is more dangerous than drink driving.

heres two pieces of driving advice courtesy of jasper carrot:

Just curious, but what did it cost? I know my wife had a license in Japan, and shelled out around $2000 for it. Should have seen her jaw drop when we sadly parted with the $15 to get her stateside license! lol

While I do enjoy the driving, was reading in the paper that maybe by 2014 I\'ll be able to take the train (nearest station is 2 miles) to the Denver airport. That would be so nice not to have to concentrate on driving and just be able to talk to our visiting family.

EDIT: Just for fun (since I was on their website) I checked how long it would take to get to work by bus. It takes a 15 minute drive and turns it into an hour slog. I guess no bus for me!

£170 for a block-booking of ten lessons. Can\'t remember how much the provisional cost. The test was about £60 plus the car being hired, coming out about £100. I spent closeto £600-700 in total to get where I am now.

Congratulations Reverend
....... did you have to parallel park in your test.......they dropped that one from the California test because 90 % sucked at it.

2 in 3 chance! There\'s a turn in the road, a parallel or a reverse around the corner, 2 of which have to be done.

Cheers Beel and Wiccan :D
