I\'m the same as mattserbenz actually (without the GD trophies). I spend most of the hours of the day painting, always trying new things, working to a deadline. Got projects all over the place atm.

What would happen to those of you are applying for a laugh/the sake of it and you were offered a job? What would you do? What if you had other commitments (uni, jobs etc.)? Would you leave halfway through your degree for instance, for this amazing chance.

If I were offered the job, yes I would move to the UK in a heartbeat. I\'d probably want to finish the current semester of college first, but dreams take a priority :)

I think like any job, you have to put on the sensible cap, work out how much you\'re going to get and figure out if it\'s enough to live off. If it is, then you go for it. If it isn\'t, then you just have to leave it a while and do something else.

I work in a retail environment, and have done for going on 15 years. I wouldn\'t exactly call it my dream job, but I love doing what I\'m doing - in the full knowledge that I\'m never going to get rich, but having more than enough to live off and have a pretty good life!

I constantly have folk saying \'you can do better for yourself\' and all that rubbish. They mean well, but quite honestly if you\'re doing something you enjoy (and are fairly competant in!) then anyone else\'s opinions are worth nothing really.

Aye Mike, you\'re probably right. I\'m not overly keen on \'halting\' threads unless they\'re getting inflammatory. Everyone deserves the right of reply, even Multifracture (although for the life in me I couldn\'t see where that unnecessary curveball he threw came from). Some of us aren\'t always up to speed on a daily basis, but this was in danger of going round and round.

For my part, I\'m glad to see the \'Eavy Metal guys and gals post on the forums. For too long there was an element of mystique (or perhaps \'distance\' is a better word) about the EM team. Most of us here like painting in one way, shape or form and these guys are up there with the best. It\'s great that they\'re so approachable and are willing to impart a little of that mystique to us mere mortals and I\'m glad we haven\'t scared\'em off (yet!) lol

Aye, people can manage off it, but really speaking it\'s a job that would suit a free and single sort or someone in a simple boyfriend/girlfriend relationship with less worry about 5yrs down the line. Saying that though, it\'s a job that you can look back at and say \"I did it!\" and for that reason alone it would be more than worth it.
And there\'s the money quote. Something you could look back on with pride and nostalgia. Related, when I was looking to relocate, one of the jobs I found would relocate me to where I wanted... and then promptly ship me off to Antarctica for a year! Oh how I really wanted to do that, for the coolness (ooo... bad pun) factor alone. Alas, wife would have killed me and kids wouldn\'t know who I was when I got back! lol

Back on topic, good (trying not to laugh too hard at weedy comeback attempt lol).

Best of luck to any CMONers applying for this, hope one of us get it. Great opportunity. If my circumstances hadn\'t changed recently I might have tried for it myself.

I must admit, if I hadn´t filled my rucksack and buggered off to Spain, with backpacking through France and Italy in plans I would have applied.

Seems a top oppurtunity.

Peace and love...

I´v nearly had the shit kicked out of me a couple of times over here due to my quite strong views against ´isms´.

Had a great chat with a \"lucky lucky\" man about how much racism there is from both Spaniards and English tourists against the dark skinned people. But thats another story for a different thread...

Peace and love...

also we never invite people to join the team you have to apply for the job, just like everyone else. Is someone telling porky pies?

This is a harsh response to someone you guys obviously don\'t really know. Well I happen to know this guy and I know a little bit about him. He was in fact asked to not only be a part of the EM team but to be the team leader, and start teaching everyone how to paint from scratch using his methods and techniques that were previously unknown to those not living on a sacred unnamed mountain in Tibet.

Want to know more about Multifracture?

-In 2003 he developed a flavor of \"Snapple\" so delicious in put all 12 taste testers into a euphoria induced coma.

-2004 saw MultiFracture become a better \"Greener\" multifracture. Using his own inventions he replaced both his lungs surgically by himself with no anastheasia so he can now proudly claim to reduce by HALF the carbon emmisions of his home city. The patents are currently being issued for his work

-in 2005 Bruce Wayne needed a much deserved break from his \"Night Life\" and asked Multifracture to wear the cape and cowl for a month. During those 30 days Gotham city has never been safer and the Joker reportedly moved to Metropolis to get away from, and I quote \"...Newer, more results oriented...\" Batman.

-2006 Multifracture took some time off for himself. He did however write and direct \"Million Dollar Baby\" all the time imitating Clint Eastwood wearing a special \"ClintSuit(tm)\" he developed himself.

-2007 MultiFracture got back to more serious business and tracked down and \"Sorted out\" Osama Bin Laden. He never bothered to tell anyone else because he is worried about facing reprisal attacks from the \"We love Sami!\" cell operating out of the Kashmir region.

-2008. Haven\'t heard much from him this year. I do know that he was asked personally by William Shatner to play Kirk in the upcoming Star Trek movie. He turned it down, and double axe handled Shatner. Then Multi Fracture shoulder rolled away.

So back off the dude. You, me, and every citizen of Gotham City owe MultiFracture a huge debt.

God I am bored today.
