This particular mini was my first use of the (relatively) new reaper master series triads. The greens are from the olive triad. I like the paints, but as SV alluded to, they don\'t have quite enough range. Perhaps a pentad instead of a triad

. In the future, I will probably as a color on either side of the triad to deepen the shadows and raise the highlights.
As for the rest of the mini, it was done mostly with vallejo model colors. I have some GW inks, but I have not used them much and on this guy the only thing I shaded with ink was the metal on the scabbard. That was based with silver, shaded with blue ink, recovered with silver, then highlighted with a silver/white mix. My techniques is pretty standard stuff. Basecoat, then selectively wash with a darker color, return with the base color, then highlight with the lighter shade. At this point, I have not been doing much as far as defined layers. For example, the yellow tights were basecoated with deep yellow, then shaded with a 1:1 mix of deep yellow and flat earth, then highlighted with a 1:1 mix of deep yellow and white. I was trying to get an area on the leg that well covered in whatever color I was using at the time, then tried to smooth the transitions with the next lighter shade via thin washes. I have not been making new mixes (i.e. specifically a 1:1 mix, then 2:1 mix, then 3:1 mix, etc.) with each shade. Occasionally at the end, I will wash the entire area with a greatly thinned basecoat color. Am I making sense and have I answered your question?
