I was almost sure that i had this project in a thread here but i didnt find it, guess it was one of those days:drunk:
I dont usually make a Project log when im sculpting or painting my tyranids
or other projects but this time everything is quite different.
I have accepted, last year, my most challenging commission work so far,
a very old and hard to get Armourcast Eldar Phantom Titan,
one of the biggest fellas i have ever seen (about 36cm tall) and my job
is to cover him by sculpting details on it since he is
a bit lacking on that area.
One of the main problems is that he is so huge im going
to spend GS like crazy on this, also the resin is full of
big bubbles holes so the cleaning alone will take lots of time.
but im quite exited with this crazy project, it will be a slow project
due to its gigantic dimensions and hard one to pull off right
but i will have lots of fun doing it.
time for pics...
By the end of january of 2007 i received this
opened it and displayed on the floor ( note that the grey dot near
his head is a genestealer miniature and he is there for scale perspective)
and finnaly a sketch i did for one of the shoulder pads
http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/9378/ph...shoulderom9.jpg
I also been sculpting this for some time and finnished both
shoulder pads and torso.
Here we go, just took some wip pictures of torso and shoulder pads, as far as im concerned torso and shoulders are finished but still im waiting for clients feedback, crossing fingers hoping he likes this.
torso front
Torso right shoulder
Torso left shoulder
here i just did a quick draw of the concept for titans back fins...
a small update to get you guys know whats happening to titan.
Both back fins are 90% sculpted i only need to add hundreds of spikes to the vines on both ( these spikes alone are giving me nightmares they are just soooo many so tiny)
in fact i was taking some shots of my workplace and you can check out one of the fins wip there...
i have done a concept sketch for arms (simple stuff) and before i showed client for aproval i sculpted them when spikes were curing
I just hope he likes them, its really simple stuff... my idea is not to make lots of details on ALL parts, this way mini more interesting and no so busy and boring.
i hope to take official pics soon when all done with spikes, lets just hope i dont go nuts doing them...
