Hiya, another one from me. Looking for comments and critique OTHER than ensure there are no mouldlines on mini\'s in future. This has already been bought up so would not be constructive advice.

Cheers Iain, I am currently off work with an ear infection and also suffering from a bout of insomnia so time isn\'t much of an issue to be honest!

Unfortunatley I don\'t have any software that will let me stick a couple of pictures onto one, and don\'t like multiple posts so have to rely on the kindness of strangers to help with the link images.

Well, as usual you\'ve done a great job. I always love the heads on your minis they seem so alive. The armour, cloak and little extra details all look great to. However, having looked long and hard I have found something I don\'t like... the very bottom edge of your base looks untidy, naughty boy! :p

Let us know when the voting opens ;)

Very nice! I really like the head and armor. I think the tops of the hammers could have been brighter... the highlight edges seem counter to what would reflect.

The wording on the scrolls is probably the weakest part. I started using a tiny Pigma Micron 005 (0.20 mm) archival ink pen, just dotting tiny words across scrolls and purity seals, and it has worked well for me.

Now its finished, the model looks superb. I see you have added a tiny bit of weathering to the bottom of the robes.. nice touch!

I really like the reds on the robes, very cool, all in all a very nicely done model.

since you asked for it:

The scar would look better a slightly different color from the rest of his skin - either much whiter or more pink.
The metalics could use more, thinner layers to smooth out the blending.

Check out Irfanview it is a free programm with a lot of features. Also there is an article on CMON detailing how to combine images using Irfanview. Maybe this helps :)

As for the mini, I really like the dark and gritty atmosphere you have achived.
But I think the scar could use some work, maybe some red or purple glaze and a light pinkish color for the flesh.

Thanks so much for the comments guys, and a big thank you to Mr justin and Tony Manero, the Italian stallion for their help with the photo\'s . Thanks to their all round aceiness i now present to you THE VOTEY LINKY ba ba ba baa!

Thanks HakoMike, I will have to, HAVE to get me one of those teensey pens, thats such a great example on your marine! I am frustrated with myself with the scripture, as I can do it properley on small areas (such as the left arm purity seals and the right thigh parchments. But give me a larger area to work on and I go and balls it up

Looking at it again I totally agree with the hammer tops needing to reflect the light more. I think I was trying too much to make the hammers look like a different metal to the armour that I overlooked the light reflection.

I really struggle to thin my metallics, when I add water all the colours seperate and its then un-useable:( Does anyone have the same problem and do you know how I can fix this?

In hindsight I totally agree about the scar colour, and will learn from it in future. ATM its pure dwarf flesh, whereas the rest of the skin is dwarf flesh, codex grey and graveyard mix, with bleached bone added for highlights. Will remember to make them more prominent in the future.

i use paint to combine my pics too. love his face and the robe. i agree that the blending on the metal isn\'t the smoothest in places and the shading in the middle of his neck armour seems too dark. apart form that, nice piece. i can see you improving with each model you finish.

it looks really nice. the only thing that I don\'t agree with is that the metal could be darker to add contrast on the chest and leg armor. did the vote thing too.:D
