That turtle is going to look great. With Garrek's reavers, I think you could benefit from pushing the contrast a bit more, on the skin especially. With the latest one, try to keep the current skin tone there for the high spots and just shade down into the shadows.

Coming on well though!

i think the photos don't show the skin very well but I did do just that. I don't have much skin experience but it has been fun! Thanks for stopping by and the suggestions!

Good idea and some excellent reference photos. What on Earth is that giant lump of snot he’s in though?

Haha! It's jewelers wax. I use it in my photo studio to help stick jewelry to the shooting surface in place. Also worked well to shove the smurf in.

I bought some things to maybe enter for reapercon this year for fun and they sent me this wraith for free. I did a quick airbrush on him to try out a few techniques as well as tried a osl type deal with the sword. It doesn't read super well but from start to finish it was under an hour so I'm okay with it.

You are a man of many projects, Endless! I really like the "contrast shots" for space marines. I did 1.5 Vanguard Veteran Space Marines awhile back and found that getting the contrast done well and correctly is the key to painting them well. I'm looking forward to seeing how all of these different projects come along!
