This is turning out just excellent from start to where your currently at and I’m certain when finished. The fade in the wings and the colors are well thought of. One can tell thought went into how and what colors were selected. Great workmanship bud. Truly.

blends need a bit of smoothing but the unevenness will disappear when I detail the feathers with line work

its looking excellent. going dark with the loincloth was a good call. adds a nice contrast. really cool stuff. its nice watching this model develop.

Looking awesome man, have you considered possibly bring the colour on the loincloth up to an orange, was thinking that could look quite striking and blend in quite nice with the rest of the hues you have ?

The soft colours work so well here. This is coming along so nice. I like CC's idea of orange as I think that would work really well.

Thanks guys, I've added red tones into the lion cloth as I've got bits of red all over the model as a spot colour; I didn't fanciy introducing too many colours as it well over complicate it.

detailed the wings even more; things are coming along quite nicely. also notice the feathers in the neck

Ohh fuck yeah!!! Now this is NOT. An easy model by any means . Epic however has made it seem so-again. That’s EXPERT treatment on those wings like my 90 yo auntie at her beauticians every other day!!!!;)

Those wing blends have come out really nicely....are you going to pick out the little Tzeentchy symbold in gold? That should make the wing colours stand out even more

The desaturated highlights on the wings bring the bright colours down to a more realistic level. Cracking stuff Epic, he looks great.

Thanks for all the comments guys.

You know, you’re right. The details is insane. I think if you paint and detail all the details it can make the model look too busy and it can make people put far too many colours on.. apart from metals I’ve stuck with 4 main colours and limited to that. Oh and I’ve mixed grey into everything. Desaturating colours makes them more believable I think.

appologise for not commenting on other people’s forms. I’m getting this turkey ready for a local comp whilst running around putting up shelves, doing gardening to keep the missus happy lol.

Here is is progress to date.. I’m rather happy with how the loin cloth has turned out. That was one this I was worried out getting wrong.
