lmao, haha I can't get enough of using purple in well, everything lol
oh John, this might help you actually get even more punch... I've been doing a little toying around and I've been mixing silver with metal medium and it makes silver even brighter and the edging I've just been using the medium itself.. its like metallic white paint, so cool

Teronus lolololol purple haze you had me dying I almost spit up my scotch ...I am dying...just the way tero throws it in and see if anyone catches on..epic I told you ter was funny he is a proper kick in the pants...and btw whoa whoa whoa what is this medium were talking I need that what's it called brand name give me all the run down...you see this is why these forums are important all sorts of expert advise among FRIENDS of course..all false metal posers can kick rocks....

its Vallejo Metal Medium 70.521
so metal
boltgun metal
two thin crimson glazes
violet glaze in areas that are hidden from light.
reapply a very thin boltgun metal just to put some shine back into the metal.
thin silver glazed on in most areas
black oil wash
silver/metal medium mix to apply highlight areas.
metal medium to to the edging (although u will need to hit the edges with the silver/metal med mix first otherwise it wont look as bright i found

Yes, I assembled him, still got some small bits to paint up and some bits to tidy up and 9 more dudes to paint.

cheers guys, I'm painting to paint 10 and submit them as a group to the gallery on a nice displace board where the dudes aren't so squished together, similar to your display boards john

We use a press drill it's kinda expensive but has head attachment all the way up to dreadnought to a warhammer 40k 28mm .if you can't find one than use half inch or 1/4 inch foam core it's basically foam in a sandwich b/n 2 sides of cardboard.

I've got another flag designed up, which is going on a custom flag. much much more detailed but I wont lay any paint down untill I've painted the rest of the elve unit

I thought I'd share some of my older work from when I was a teenager and working with pencil.. before I moved onto painting in oil and airbrushing.. pencil will always stay close to my heart
