How many have you tried? How\'s your sculpting going on other things?
If you\'re getting pretty good at sculpting other things and just faces are giving you trouble don\'t despair, it\'s probably just a perceptual problem and you\'ll get through it with practice. But if you\'re only starting out sculpting (and it shows) then be realistic about what level you\'ll achieve in a face.
Since you mention they\'re turning out very flat I\'d recommend you build up the face in stages, letting each stage harden before you do any more:
a blob first, just a basic egg shape is fine;
then add eyeballs and lips, thin strip to underpin the nose;
build up cheeks, maybe the brow, finish off the nose;
add ears, see if the chin needs to be enlarged;
hair last.

Something you might find helpful would be to copy the head of something you have there - you can compare the whole thing or any feature from any angle with the one on the existing mini.
