WN Series 7 second to none
I have a couple of these brushes. As Wren pointed out on another post, they are on sale at http://www.jerrysartarama.com/art-supply-stores/online/127
Windsor Newton also has the Cirrus 110. They are Kolinsky sable, like the Series 7, but a lot cheaper. I don\'t know how well they hold up for mini painting. I only have one, and like the S7\'s I have better.
Vallejo has what is supposed to be a comperable brush at a much lower price, but I haven\'t bought any yet.
I\'ve got a couple Renaissance Ink Cat\'s Tounge brushes (AKA Filberts), but like all synthetics, the tips are starting to curl. WHAAA! I want to get some sables of this same brush shape, to see how they stand up.
If you want an inexpensive sable, there\'s a Lowe Cornell with a yellow handle in 6/0 that is very nice. Easier to find than WN Series Seven.
But all in all, Windsor Newtons rule for detail painting.
