any that produce nice minis.......
I have no stand out favourite but the following are all ones I am a big fan of..in a ranking of sorts.

Wyrd.... not just because I paint for them but production there is in overdrive and some of the newer sculpts as well as on the way stuff is just fantastic.

Dark Slave , Tale of War.
Very creative and great fun sculpts and dealing with them directly is an absolute pleasure.. They are always trying new stuff and don\'t seem to stick within a comfort zone...

Hell Dorado.... Totally off the wall sculpts and some are love others hate but they tick a lot of boxes taste wise for me.

Artefactory.. I\'ve not been blown away by the Alkemy range but the brainwave of Artefactory by the Kraken guys has allowed some very interesting and different stuff to be released so far and the future also looks good.

Enigma comes in closely followed by JMD again just for throwing out different stuff.

I could go through every manufacturer and pick out models I like but these ones have the advantage of the overall range being strong in my eyes .......................

easier to list my don\'t likes.(and even then there is stuff I like in the range)...
reaper.... just doesn\'t catch me...
Freebooter , I started really liking these when I first came across them but some bad casts and also their higher price kind of put me off as well as a recent string of uninspiring releases.
Dark Age.. Pretty much the same.

Add Hasslefree to Demonherald\'s list and you have mine! :)

Some historical companies also appeal greatly to me... Pegaso/Romeo, Latorre Models and many, many more.

I\'m really getting into historical stuff lately.

Pegaso, Lattore, Andrea, et al make some amazing miniatures.

For fantasy I\'d go Enigma, JMD, AoW and a bunch of Privateer Press stuff.

Probably Games Workshop is at the top for me, just because I like the clean style of sculpting. Matches my painting style pretty well.

I like just about every other company though.

I feel guilty not adding Hasslefree myself.... doh .. mind you could be the fact I just haven\'t got around to painting most of my stuff from them..(or anyone else for that matter)...

i don\'t have any in particular that are my favourites.
i just like good sculpting and casting.

i also think that the big companies are getting left behind by the smaller ones as far as standards go.

got to love 54mm models as well, so much space for micro detailing and smooth blends.
wouldn\'t want to paint a regiment of the buggers tho

Wyrd. Love the minis, especially some of the newer stuff and the game is looking great.

Hasslefree and Spyglass have some really cool looking minis (haven\'t had the chance to get any Spyglass stuff yet).

Everything that has been said already plus Metal Modeles and Privateer Press if it has not been said already. I like the Pirate models.

evil tendencies

Cake or Death?
Privateer. Their sculpts are different, and allow for some creativity when painting them - the sculpt doesn\'t dictate the color choices like, say, Reaper sculpts often do.

Add Hasslefree and Gamezone to deamonherald\'s list and you got me. Love the sculpts for Gamezone but the casts can be iffy sometimes. :(

you will love spyglass minis mate, they are a painters dream where you can keep it simple or add as much painted detail as you want.
and steve\'s new barbarian models rock

Add Reaper to the list, simple sculpts, affordable, and nice themes.

Gonna also put in nod for Dark Sword...nice old school sculpts and realisitc proprotions.

Hmm, I guess I also choose minis rather on the look than on the company.
Having said that I think about 80% of Hasslefree range are fantastic sculpts in my opinion. I already bought many of them and painted one. It was a pleasure.

Freebooter also has nice minis and some kind of comicstyle in it I really like too. Have some here in my pile of \"to paint someday minis\", but had not enough time to start one of them.

And my newest purchase was that 28mm spyglass demon lady lilith. Looking forward to paint that mini too.

But most of the stuff I paint is GW, still trying to get a functioning eldar army. Gw mins are somehow a love or hate design. Some of them really look cool and others are very off my taste. Vehicles are great though. Wish we had more alternatives to get some, not only GW or Forgeworld. But I guess their scouts are out there enforcing the copyright law and so its nearly impossible to make vehicles that could work in W40K universe.

Oh and Gamezone Miniatures are also very promising, great details! But I guess difficult to paint. Have bought myself some of those dead wolves for a friend\'s Mordheim undead party.

There\'s too many great companies out there. I like some of the mainstream stuff like GW or Rackham, but there\'s also Ilyad, Resina Planet, and so on.

Nowadays, I just pick up whatever strikes my fancy.
