I second Reverend here. Old Classic Citadel back when they had a Sense of Humour. Things like the Dwarf Death Roller from Bloodbowl will never be matched.

Hasslefree gets top marks for customer service and price. Wyrd miniatures also have excellent service and good prices (and I\'m not saying that just because I get mine for free... :p).

Enigma miniatures\' 54 mm minis are actually quite cheap considering their size. They also have excellent quality castings (some of the best I\'ve seen) which makes the prices really, really good if you take that into account. The smaller scale stuff is not as cheap compared to other lines, but the quality makes up for it, in my opinion. What I like the most about Enigma, though, is that they are widening the horizons of fantasy miniatures, and creating a common ground where fantasy painters and historical painters can meet. Ever since Enigma started there\'s more and more larger scale fantasy stuff out on the market.

Kraken\'s Artefactory line is in its very concept an excellent and essential addition to the fantasy/sci-fi miniatures market. They provide a commercial platform for all the insanely talented French sculptors that are currently active. You can find some truly amazing stuff here (and they only just started) that aren\'t limited in their creativity due to style, scale or anything. Excellent resin casts too!

Another miniature line that I really think highly of is Degra Miniatures. Degra makes some truly spectacular stuff that is insanely detailed, without loosing the sense of proportions and elegance. I also love the fact that he makes stuff that is in a \"grey area\" between fantasy and historical. His stuff is so well proportioned and true to life that it could function as historical miniatures. On the other hand, they have the sort of exaggerated facial characters that we\'ve come to expect from fantasy miniatures. This appeals greatly to me.

yeh man, back in the day when they were the ones being told off for ip breach lol
the sculpting may not have been as good but the character put into the models was fantastic.
those ogres were some of the best they produced imo.

Yet another miniature tart. If I ever have any money I spend on what I\'m looking at. Having said that...

Pegaso/Romero are at the top of the list at the moment. SGF/Soldiers (all Italians???).

If I had more painting time the list would be longer!

I am sick of painting GW at the moment.

my favorite miniature manufacturer?

I\'m back into painting figures (wait- they\'re called minis now... that doesn\'t date me a bit, does it?) after a long time away. I really miss Ral Partha. I\'ve got most of their entire line, either being used for gaming, or displayed in shadow boxes.

The stuff from dark Sword is what got me back interested in minis, as well as some of Reaper\'s minis. I like Hasslefree, and Wyrd, but only have one of each from them. Pegaso & Andrea, WOW! Things have really changed in 27 years!

My wife was complaining about how much I\'d spent on two minis last month, until she realised that one was a commission that paid the light bill, and most of the cable bill. She\'s almost a fan now.

Wyrd. Love the minis, especially some of the newer stuff and the game is looking great.

Hasslefree and Spyglass have some really cool looking minis (haven\'t had the chance to get any Spyglass stuff yet).

you will love spyglass minis mate, they are a painters dream where you can keep it simple or add as much painted detail as you want.
and steve\'s new barbarian models rock

Steve sculpted the newest Wyrd Release the convict Gunslinger.. Nice simple and an absolute joy to paint....I do lik his style...

got some minis from a company I\'ve never tried to day.. A french company called Golgotha .. They only do a few models but I have to say my jaw almost hit the floor when they arrived this morning and I saw the detail and quality.....beautiful

I saw the Golgotha minis when I was in Paris last autumn, but they weren\'t available for sale yet. Design wise they\'re a bit hit and miss, but the sculpting quality is undeniable. And they do have some really excellent designs too, just not all of them.

You can find Golgotha at www.golgotha.fr and at Ludi Bazaar. Those are the only places I\'ve found that carry Golgotha. Really nice figs, but priced in Euros, that\'s going to hurt me a bit more than I can take.
