Find A Mini Painter Version 0.1 Beta

Hi all.

Just a quick message to say that a beta version of the Find A Mini Painter site is now online here http://famp.forgotmy.name/ and awaits your testing-to-destruction. :D remember it is only a beta test, and there are bound to be problems I havent spotted just yet. The URL will be changing to something more suitable ASAP, the current URL is just a place to bounce ideas for the time being.

If there are any problems dont hesitate to let me know. Ill be watching the forum for a while to try and fix some of the bugs found.

nice one - i\'m sure when i\'m older i\'ll be able to say to my grandkids \"i was one of the first five members on famp\" which, of course, will me met with sa chorus of ooohs

Aye it is an honour indeed! Even better, when the photo upload is available, youll be able to show them what you looked like back then!

Actually Fizl, though you are FaMP3, you could technically claim to be the first official member! I made the site, and Hippy is a tester/technical advisor who\'s been helping out.

Dont worry its not you.. it doesnt say anywhere. Ill be making a small upload tommorow which will remove the Beta, and that will be one thing ill add into your profile.

I myself have spotted a bug with adding in your birthday. if you dont enter in the right format, it doesnt add it and doesnt give a warning message. This will be fixed too

I\'m #10 :)

would be really cool at some point to have a map, and countries have numbers in it representing how many painters, and you can click on the country to see those painters.

A nice way to have an overview of where people are!

@Fizl : Sorry no prizes im afraid :(

Something i should point out is that your FaMP ID is assigned when you make your initial registration. Once your account is activated, then you count towards the \"Active Members\" count. The idea behind this was to give a better reresentation of the number of profiles listed.

Apologies for not making this clear. All those in favour of changing the count to include inactive as well as active accounts say\"Aye!\"

I did notice that the first time I saved my profile it only saved my preferred manufacturer, and i had to go back and fill it all in again to save my profile properly.

Also, how about having a list of members instead of having to do a blank search?

Thanks for the info Fizl. Ive just tried that on the version on my machine. If anyone else has the same problem let me know and ill look into it.

reat suggestion for having a complete memberlist too, and it will be added in

I had the same problem as Fizl, I entered all of my information, hit enter, and poof it was gone, went back did it again, with no problem the second time.
by the way, nifty idea!
