I just threw the pilots in the bin and settled for an empty cockpit.

It is tempting, but I've got an idea that I want to play with that requires the Snowspeeder to be in flight.
Guess I'll have to keep an eye out for suitable sized airplane kit pilots or something.

Looks pretty good for a half finished model. The yellow looks a bit to vibrant for my tastes but the weathering looks spot on. Nice streaks.

I've heard Tamiya rally drivers work with a bit of modding to the cockpit and the figures:
