It is, if cathay is old world east-asia, it wouldn\'t be placed anywhere near Lustria (Colombia)

\"Cathay in a fictional nation in Games Workshop\'s Warhammer Fantasy universe.
Cathay is the Warhammer equivalent of China. Cathay has not received much attention from the Games Workshop and most of the information available is lifted straight from Chinese history (in fact, in the real world, \'Cathay\' was the 14th century European name for China).
To date no army has been released and the sum total of models amount to a handful of ninja (presumably from Cathay) in the classic range. A single special edition ninja Ogre Maneater was released in 2005. The old world trades with Cathay along the Ivory Road. Cathay is also the place of origin for the Ogres.
A few Games Workshop stories mention merchants from Cathay practising martial arts. One story relates a Cathayan fleet making an expedition to the Southlands and being decimated by two hurricanes sent by the Slann, conjured on the strength of an ancient prophecy (an event based upon the real world Kamikaze). The surviving captain talks of Cathay being ruled by an Emperor. The captain also bears extensive tattoos of a dragon, which the Lizardmen mistake to be an image of their god Sotek, saving him from ritual sacrifice. It is also known that Cathay is preyed upon by the Grand Kahn of the Hobgoblins who holds the land between the Mountains of Mourn and Cathay (this is heavily influenced by the real world conflict between the Mongols and China in the 13-14th century). The only date associated with Cathay is in the year c 1699 when \'Emperor Wu\' of Cathay received the Tileans Ricco and Robbio.\"
And I once sculpted a crappy Cathayan Dragon, back when I was a stupid monkey (now I am a less stupid Penguin ):

That\'s great. Not to keen on the end of the tail, but the head is excellent as are the arms. Definitely deserves painting up.

its an ancient chineese artifact...that I\'m going to try to recreate. I\'m not sure if I can do it yet, but it\'d be pretty effing cool if i can pull it off!
