Well, i finally got photoshop installed onto my own computer last night and was able to get these pics done on my easily rather than kicking my bro off his, so i\'d thought id share them,
They\'re one of the newish Space Marine command squads, done in the Ultramarines scheme (original eh
), mounted on a display base.
If possible, i\'d like some feedback on them as i\'m always looking to improve my skills (arent we all).
Ok, my first question is the wear and tear on the armour, does it look right?, i started these models using nmm, but once the first was finished, i decided i wanted some batte-dammage, though i\'d only ever done it with real metallics, anybody have any tips or links to tutorials for nmm battle-damage?
The Commanders sword was a little bit of a problem too, i think i did it ok, but not amazing, since i don\'t paint too many 40k models i dont get much practise at this stuff, maybe needs harsher highlights or something else?
However, i\'m overall very pleased with these, especially the banner which actually came out as well as i\'d hoped, i took quite a while on the apothecary too, not really sure why it took so much longer but white is a very difficult colour to paint on such an intricate model,
overall, including the base approximately 50 hours work has been put in, i can\'t say exactly how much lost count after about 3 hours ??? it really does feel like i\'ve been working on them forever, they are currently still in waiting in my gallery, or i\'d have posted the links, but your comments and suggestions and all constructive critisism will be very much appreciated.
Thanks, Joe
