Forté's corner - various works in progress
Hi and thank you for taking a look.
I've resisted posting on CMoN for quite a while as I kept seeing amazingly painted miniatures and models from companies I'd never heard off.
Now, a brief intro. I've been building and painting for a year or some and was introduced at the age of six. With an Airfix T-Rex of all things. I only knew about the Airfix type kits for years and only discovered fantasy models and acrylic paints at the age of 11 and was well and truly hooked. This was Games Workshop, who I worked for in '96 at the age of eighteen. Since leaving GW in '98 I painted sporadically and almost stopped when I had kids. But the hobby bug was always there and for the past few years I have tried to get back into painting but never quite managed it. Until 2013 when some new friends made me aware of Malifaux. This led to looking at models from other companies and finding sites like CMoN and Massive Voodoo. So I gave it another go and this is the result.

As you can see the photos are not the greatest, but I'm working on that.
Soon after Forge World released the Kakophoni models which I loved. At the same time B&C ran a Call of Chaos painting event so I thought "why not" and managed to produce these.

That involved my first use of resin, magnets, painting marble, repositioning legs, and first time in years I painted a squad. Finally something had clicked and I was back to enjoying painting again. Although, at night and without a permanent area set up. But learning about wet pallets had seriously changed the way I use my paint.
My next painting was another squad and took ages. I nearly lost all motivation with them. But friends and B&C members kept me going on them.

Finally I finished them which was pleasing to say the least.
Now to current stuff. B&C are currently holding their annual E Tenebrae Lux painting event so I decided to give it a crack with a couple more Chaos models I had in mind so here's the current progress.

These are just past half way I'd say so still plenty to do.
Well I'll end it there and thank you for looking. C&C is greatly welcome :nailbiting!::brushlick:
