Fun with Expanding Foam (Swamp Monsters)

Just got finished tonight with a couple of swamp monsters that I made while playing around with some household expanding foam insulator.

Large Swamp Monster
Small Swamp Monster

I originally intended to make it a How-To article for CMON, but got really discouraged when I tried to paint the foam blobs. Even after a coat of primer, the paint just puddles. Which is why I probably settled onto making them into swamp monsters.

The blobs that I tried turning into rocks and such just never worked out well, and the attempts at some cave formations wound up on the garage floor. Very, very sticky and very, very messy.

Anyway, just thought I\'d put them up here for everyone\'s enjoyment.

Gross is right. But hey why not try it for Nurgle stuff - gross is good there!

Were anyone to try this, I would suggest spraying the foam onto something disposable first. The foam is unpredictable coming out of the can, and it gives a pile to pull from.

Then, one could take a toothpick and pull from the pile and make little dabs onto the mini. It sets up quick, so this would have to be done repeatedly with small squirts from the can.

The foam continues to expand for a while after it comes out of the can, and as such, is self healing. So the dab would not look good initially, but should skin over.

Now I have to figure out which mini I have will be \"touched\" by Nurgle, just to see if what I say works.
