Whew.....glad I wasn\'t the only one that thought that when he said RED shirt... lol

So sounds like 2:00 PM may be a little late..and I agree with Dawn that we had a blast at lunch last year...I seem to remember beer nearly coming out my nose at one point.... Are folks interested in doing lunch somehere and then going back?

I\'m up for either or. I am usually bored to tears by about 11 am anyways, since I wil lmostl likely be done with my shopping and have the models entered, so anytime is good. But I am sympathetic to Greg\'s need of around 2 pm for the tourny break as well.

I say we meet up before lunch time,
hang out a little,
split up a little,
get back together for lunch,
wave to Greg as we head to lunch,
go to Red Lobster (?) again,
have a great time,
come back,
wave to Greg as we walk by,
and meet up with him then.

How\'s that sound? lol

Right about now Red Lobster is sounding better than the tournament. I\'ve been so busy trying to finish my GD entry that I haven\'t played a single game with my 1500 point army list, or for that matter any game of Warhammer for several months. So, I\'m pretty sure I\'m going to get my butt handed to me three times in a row. Plus I\'ve got to finish my army display base (which takes time away from aforementioned GD entry).

But, If I am playing in the tournament I\'ll be sure to wave back (if I\'m not beating my head against the table in frustration).

Is everyone that posted in this forum from Atlanta? Because I\'ve just started painting and some really great artists are in here ::cough::Grumb::cough::

Nope...

...there are actually only two of us that live in Atlanta and that\'s myself and Grumb. Rodnik lives up 75 a ways, and Darthfoley down 75 a ways. :) E-Arkham lives about 30 or so miles away and everybody else (as far as I know) lives out of state.

BTW, I don\'t know if Grumb mentioned it or not, but a few people are coming over Fri. night to paint (TAB & Co. will be here and Thuff and a friend) and if you live close by and would like to come you\'re more than welcome to! Just let me know and I\'ll send you directions to our place.

:bouncy:

Well I\'m out.. things have been quite Chaotic here at best.. no time to paint what i wanted to. I was going to drive down anyway and find a cheap hotel but I just had to put a new exhaust system and EGR valve in my truck to the tune or $550.00 so there went any fun money I might of had.

To everyone going.. have fun and good luck to you. Bring home some Gold!!!

oh ok, well, I have to go to school, 15, and besides, my mom thinks all people that hang around a GW shop are evil, I live in Buford and go to the GW shop at the mall of GA, which GW shop do you and Grumb go to?

@DFD - sorry to hear about the car problems! That\'s what usually gets us - and I guess in a roundabout way it got us again. Scott accidentally ran over our dog with the van and we ended up spending over $1,000 on vet fees. NOT what we expected to be spending our money on this week!

@Red...blue...??? (sorry, mind went blank - see above for reason as to lack of sleep!) - anyway we go to The War Room in Alpharetta and Atlanta Games Factory on 10th street in Midtown (not far from where Grumb works). The War Room used to be a lot closer to us, but they moved before Christmas. There used to be a couple more even closer to us, but they went out of business.

BTW - Grumb says to thank you for the compliment (about him being a good painter). He says both E-Arkham and Rodnik are way better than him and take a look at their stuff! He says when he gets a chance he\'ll PM you back. Right now he\'s trying to finish hanging our kitchen cabinets before he has to pick up TAB Studio, IPM, and HalfManHalfAmazing at the airport. And I say, \"good luck\" in the Youngbloods!!

See everyone in a couple of days!!

Thanks for wishing me luck, I am a pretty good painter, but, when it comes to doing my infantrymen for my Space Marines, I sorta try to rush through them, well, because their infantry, the rest of my models, I tend to spend a ton of time on, the model I am entering I spent about 10 hours on, he\'s just a champion.

well, if anyone wants to find me at Games Day, I\'ll be wearing a black sweater with green tribal symbols on it, you probably recognize it if you see it. I look forward to meeting some people from CMON at Games day. I really need some tips on my current stuff cuz my dreadnought that is posted is a tad behind my other stuf and if you look at it, that\'s my basic scheme, lots of black and gold, sorta chaosy but I tend not to undercoat alot, I just use the primer as my undercoat, the difference really isn\'t noticable unless their under heat lamps or you pick them up to look at them.

Waahooo! Driving day! The day to spend hours sitting in the car wishing there were a way to paint in a moving vehicle. It\'s only a 5 hr drive to Atlanta though, instead of the 8+ it used to take to get to Baltimore. I\'ll see you all there.
