Hullo,
Bit late with this as I sit typing this on my spouse\'s itty-bitty computerphonethingy at the terminal in the Calgary International Airport .
Soooo... Yeah! I\'ll be there. I\'m not sure what I\'ll be wearing then and I\'m kinda ordinary looking, but if it helps I am somewhat taller and female.

It\'s good that your female, because \'Saxon Angel\' isn\'t too fitting for (most) men.. lol
SA - feel free to come to the bbq after GD. Just find us (RedDawn & Grumb) and we\'ll give you directions to our place.
We just finished cooking all the ribs and they smell gooooooood!!! I\'m sure our neighbors are ready to invite themselves! lol

Got home at 6:35 the Golden Demon competition was increadibly tough(I didn\'t even make 1st cut ) but i had fun and I will post all of the pictures I took in a follow up topic tomorrow.

KILL THE JUDGES! KILL THEM ALL! THEY\'RE A BUNCH A PANSIES WHO LIKE MODELS THAT LOOK CLEAN! KILL THEM ALL! I didn\'t make first cut for yougbloods, thats some serious crap. Did anyone see me? I played my first game. The big game. SOO FUN. I also bought a tech priest enginseer. I didn\'t make first cut because they said my model looked too battle damaged, you know what I said to the \"My marines are manly marines, not pansy marines that are afraid of getting dirt on their power armor.\" I felt like reaching over the counter as I said that and beating the guy up. I\'m still pissed and put off from ever entering a demon again. When you lose, it makes you feel like your painting is crap. Some of the stuff in youngbloods looked like it was painted by these kids dads so that way they can win. They probably did. oh yeah, the guy who said he was wearing a red chaos undivided shirt, yeah, there were seven guys wearing that. seriously, did anyone see me?

Hi all. Made the final cut on LOTR. It was a lot tougher catagory this year. As a cubs fan would say: just wait til next year.

There\'s always next year so don\'t give up. I thnk I saw Grumb and his wife but no one said two words to me about being from coolmini.
Still recovering from GD yesterday...and the after battle BBQ at our house last night. I\'ll post some picks as soon as I can get them edited. For now, here is the list of CMON folk who one at the Demons..there are probably more but this is all my poor tired mind can remember:

Sorry we missed you dude. Several of us had our CMON U tee shirts on yesterday. Wish I had met you.
I was darn near frantic yesterday...we took our 10 and 11 year old sons to GD for the first time. They of course went opposite directions as soon as we hit the door and everytime I found one the other had disappeared. They drug me all over that hall yesterday to paint, build terrain, play 40K and Warhammer, etc. The highlight for me was when my son handed me his piece of terrain he had just completed to hold for him as he ran off to the about to begin speed painting competition....I didn\'t know that the superglue on it was still wet until after I discovered that the plastic structure was welded firmly to my left thumb.... lol
Yesterday was too damn hectic. Next year I\'m bringing a camping chair and a banner...and I\'m just going to sit my rear end down in it in the middle of the floor somewhere and let the chaos swirl around me.
I don\'t know about the rest of you guys, but I am exhausted...and glad the maddness is over for now!!

I think people do it so that they can say they won an award. I would assume it\'s not people from CMON, but the \"regular\" people who play WH at stores, etc. Just some guys/gals who wanted models, so they buy them instead of paint themselves (they got money to burn?) and they then use them to win comps.

Well, Jeah, I guess it is like that... but really, it is a very stupid thing to do, because itßs not their work... you could argue that you paid for the mini, but the work is simply from another person, so handing in a comission work is simply... ewh......
If this Mini won a Demon the Trophy has to be given to the minis author at least... IMHO...
I have imformed Demon_ Color about that, it´s his work, so he has to decide what to do......
Maybe everything is allright because the dude gave Demon Color´s Name in the contest and wanted to surprise him with some good news...

What piece was entered that was not painted by the entrant?..this is against totally GD rules. If this person did indeed win a award and GW finds out they will be asked to surrender their award and they will be baned from any GW GD event for life.
Which miniature was it so it can be reported to Games Workshop.

I thought Golden Demon rules were that you can only enter stuff that you painted/sculpted yourself. (?) If somebody\'s entering something that was painted for him on commision, isn\'t that an illegal entry? (and I thought entrants have to be present to win, too). I tried looking for the actual rules at GW\'s site but I can never find anything at thier site.
