And I do suppose the not people thing holds water only when they aren\'t committing acts of heinousness, so yeah, I\'m agreeable on that. And I have absolutely no hard feelings towards anyone who disagrees with their judging, I would rather read well thought out and useful opinions and arguments like Star\'s and Duendes, and others here, because exchanges of good thinking are better and fun too :) No matter what, Duende said it, this is there contest and they\'ll use it as advertising. :) And yes, I wish they had better judging sometimes too :)

Now, this is two contests where there have been purchased entries entered. Hopefully CMON continues to do such a great job of noticing this, because then maybe, just maybe, it will stop, though I doubt it.

Does anyone know how they are going handle the disqualifications? Are they going to hire goons to repossess the trophies? Slap on the wrist? Banned?

yeah, Dirty, DARN nice set of photos this time, now that we see them all, did you adjust your setup at all?

Maybe they should send out trophies after they\'ve double checked all the entries from now on or something.

Which one was the bronze lotr single?

No, actually...i didn\'t.

The ambient lighting (the lights in the convention center itself) may have just been better in Balto. Didn\'t pay much attention to it. That\'s just lucky. :D i DID notice that the GD area in Atlanta was in a kind of \"dead spot\" for ambient lighting.... i just have to deal with what they give me. Sometimes it\'s better than others.

But thanks for noticing! :)

On a fanboy note, GREAT job on your entries, Zach! i recognize your name from multiple Golden Demons over the years, and when i see your name on the winners list it\'s never a surprise to me. Always a pleasure to see your work! This year\'s 40K Single, your Ork Warboss, was especially well done! If anyone here hasn\'t seen it, you REALLY should check it out!

Here\'s the Bronze in LOTR Single. Steve, and you tell us the story about him, or is it classified? ;)

Also, I thought you had a pretty good photo set-up, but who was that other guy taking pictures? I have a picture of his photo set-up which I found kinda laughable if he was supposed to be a \"professional\". (A long white paper sheet and a flashbulb on either side.)

I agree - awesome work zach, your ork is my favourite entry I think. Such great colours, I love the rust! Congratulations!

I like the way there are photos of the runners-up as well, great idea, they should have that at all GDs...we all miss out on seeing so many fantastic minis, just because they missed out on the placings.

Wow, Steve got a great picture of my Farmer Maggot, only I guess they missed my name. ( Well, at least they didn\'t credit it to \"Some Anonymous Loser\" )

Duende, I am sorry, I meant to look you and others up, but after submitting our entries, I hung out with Molebrain over at Inner Harbor.

Duende, This was actually a guy that used to be a regular at most of the US GDs. He used to be know in several forums as Orclord. He has always been allowed by GW to go behind the glass and take pictures of all of the models. Even though his setup for a background is simple (blank white paper) he has had enough practice to get decent pics of most models.

You can check out his stuff for Baltimore at this link. Because he is not limited to what he can publish on his own site, he usually ends up with several more angles of the winning models plus pics of some that you will not see anywhere else.

Baltimore Golden Demon Pics

He also has an archive of several of the past events.
I wish he could make it to more of the events.

Thanks Steve! I saw you a couple of times and waited to say hello but it seemed like you were constantly busy so I didn\'t want to bother you. Next year I\'ll say hello. :)

And thanks Automation- nice words coming from someone who\'s posted some really nice minis lately!
