Last time I went there was a Days Inn right near the center that had special rates for people going to gamesday. Anyone know if thats happening again?

Yep, I will be there...I am a GDLA refugeeeeeeeee. GW asked me to kind of put together a team for the Demon Lounge this year...kind of like what I did last year for LA but more organized. Hopefully we will be able to give some helpful hits to all the up and coming artists out there!!!! I\'ll post the official schedule in the next day or so but for now here is who we have...
There will be a total of 68 demons represented and 4 (oops, I mean 5) Slayer Swords!!!!

I will be there. I am interested in doing the Daemon Lounge, and as soon as I know exactly what classes will be taught I\'ll sign up for them.
This year, I only have 2 entries, and they are NOWHERE close to ready... we\'ll see... another sleepless week trying to catch up like some of you I know...
I believe David Harkleroad (Silver Lord of the Rings Large Baltimore 07) will be there also.
Other than that, I will keep checking here to stay updated.

I should be there. With at least 2, possibly 3 entries. Though from looking at the list, I could stay home and accomplish the same thing! Looks like it will be a tough field this year, should be some amazing minis to look at, and be beaten by! See you folks there.

I was hoping to have three or four entries but (like most people, it seems) I think I\'ll be lucky to finish one. It\'ll be much better than my rush job last year, though.
Meg, Jen... I don\'t know if I\'m going to be able to pull off the carebear idea this year. With a two year old and one more on the way there just isn\'t enough time for painting.
I\'m really looking forward to this year! The highlight for me last year was getting to meet other painters. Sounds like there will be even more CMONers there this year.

In LA we went out to dinner after Games Day...that was tons of fun. I would be down to do that again or even on Friday night!!

No worries. I\'m not sure I\'ll have time for it either. Half of my weekend is spent doing yard work as I\'m landscaping my yard this year. The other half for chores and a little bit of painting. If I manage to bring 2 good looking entries I\'ll have done well.

Same here - no worries on the Care Bear marines. I\'m looking at maybe 2 entries if I\'m really lucky and bust my a$$ finishing them.
On the note of a dinner meet up...I\'m staying about an hour outside of Baltimore with a gaggle of friends, so dinner would probably be easiest on Saturday for me (since I\'ll already be in town). Edgar\'s is a really nice place to hang out if you\'re all looking for a spot to eat and chill. It\'s right off the convention center on the skywalk. Pool tables & beer - what more could miniatures painters ask for! :flip:

Which dryad was it? The one on the display base? Lorelei . . . OKF didn\'t want me to sell that one. He wanted to keep it
I hope I win one too. I need a good win to put myself back into sorts. I\'ve been very much out of it the past year and some months.
I\'m really trying hard. I am starting to get anxious though and want my entry to be done already. But life keeps getting the way of me sitting down to finish him. Anyway, off to try and finish some more.
As to what I\'m painting and what categories, that is secret. I have to be sneaky sneaky

Back from the (almost) dead and feeling a HELLUVA lot better!
I *might* be making it to GD Baltimore. I haven\'t heard from anyone at GW as to whether they want me to photograph the Golden Demons yet, so I\'m not sure if I\'ll be working it. It wouldn\'t surprise me if they asked me the week of the convention... *heeheehee*
If I\'m not working it, I\'ll definitely try to come visit. I do have a lot of painting to do for a commission, of sorts, so I might end up just coming to GD and painting all day. But if I plan to do that, I\'ll hafta finish up the Giant I was working on before I internally exploded.
Also...Jess... I *STILL* have the 2008 Golden Demon Finalist pin for you. So if I can get there, I\'ll have that for you, too. OF COURSE I couldn\'t forget about you!!

With the economy the way it is, GW is being \"creative\" with their staff for Games Day. John Shaffer and the boys are working hard to bring the best Games Day ever, so you better be there!! Either way, its going to be a blast!!! I can\'t wait!!!

Any chance of people meeting at gamesday? Cause I assume a 15 year old kid, his friend and his dad would wreck your fun night out.
