You, deservedly, got the sword and that is all that matters. Success will always bring it\'s detractors In fact, the greater the success - the bigger the number of detractors, so I would regard the degree to which you are sniped to be a reflective measure of your success. If you see what I mean....

I really look forward to an article from you however That would be a fantastic addition to the article section on this site.

Silphid, short of a tutorial could you mention the colors involved in painting your NMM gold? Don\'t have to describe the technique, I\'m just curious about the exact colors you used.

I left a glowing comment on your CMON picture and it got bumped to page 2 very fast

NMM colors

Hi guys and gals!

Thanks for your thoughtful comment Jarrett!

The past 2 days has been insane, I have been swamped by fanmail and questions :bouncy: Just last night I had 53 new messages! Kepp \'em coming though, I\'ll do my best to answer them all! (took me 3 and a half hours last night) :wow:

NMM color receipe:

Scorched Brown (GW)
Parasite brown (Vallejo game color)
Scrofulous brown (VGC)
Light yellow #010 (Vallejo model color)

A few layers of in-between colors dependinf on the stretch required between the colors on different surfaces. My thanks to Mahazael for the Parasite and scrofulous browns he uses and was graceful enough to tell me about.

Hope this helps! Now I\'ve been so busy at work (18h shift anyone?) that I haven\'t even started the tutorial... Be nice to me, give me a few days off and I\'ll get to it.

Woo! Just noticed, I\'m ranked 3rd on this entire CMON site! wow! I should point out that I do not see myself worthy of such ranking (I mean Come on, look at all the incredible work here which inspired me into doing this juggernaut in the first place!) But it sure is nice to be on the top 10, for now anyway

pFFFFt. In my opinion you only have to do one piece as amazing as your Sword winner to be \"deserving\" of being a top ranked artist on CMON. You earned it with the hard work you put in, no question about it.

Ranking as artist would be found under \"your account\" on the main menu.

Ahem, humm, yeah... right. No way I\'m posting those older guys here now that I won the Slayer Sword! Well I guess that would prove to all the non believers that I did start like everyone else, and just before my Juggernaut I wasn\'t half the painter I am now.

That was around March I believe, so those I painted between December and March 2003-2004 (Dreadnought I made late November 2003 I believe). I picked up the hobby late August 2003.

Oh I could post my first few miniatures to get a ranking, but some 6\'s and 7\'s won\'t do my ranking good . I\'ll post future higher effort paintjobs though, I\'ll get 5 in say, a year or 2

Don\'t worry about ranking being low from older entries- correct me if I\'m wrong, but doesn\'t the rank go by your top five scores that have over 50 votes. I went to that site and those minis are pretty dang good- just photoshop em up a bit and they\'d pull in 8\'s minimum.
And better yet- draw \"THE TIM\" (what I call that darn sniper)\'s fire like crazy because he already hates ya- don\'t ya, I know yur watchin\'<sorry gettin a bit paranoid-shheshlol

u should post them, there not that bad n they were ur first minis. i no ppl who hav painted for years n still cant paint as well as u did ur chaos guys
