Wow what a day! I know everytime we say that the competition was stiff and that the level improved, but this year is something else for Canada! Sculpts or extremely heavy conversions were numerous, and we can clearly see that the painting level is moving closer to the European scene.
Chris (Dragomir) had a breathtaking full sculpt of a large scale Biker of Native Indian origin which had me in a drooling daze  Then I had shivers thinking the amount of work must have been required for such a masterpiece. :wow:
Newcomer in the GD scene but already an adept int he historical painting scene, my friend John Papoulakos had a sculpted Black templar bust that belonged in a fine arts museum, and among other pieces, a Slaneesh predator with freehand on every square millimeter.
As for myself, this year I had decided to stay true to my motto: Challenge yourself to something you don\'t have the skill to do yet. Force yourself to learn. I made my first full sculpt and ditched the NMM out the window to learn about the treatment of real metallics. I won\'t hide the fact that is was a very hard challenge for me but the hard work payed off
