Thanks skeeve! You know if they allow big cameras in to GD? or just point and shoot? Ill bring my good camera and try and get some decent pics if they let you do that, otherwise Ill just bring my powershot~

Celthulhu, Id come and hang out with you and Wappelious at the bunker, but I just have too much to do! Dang base is taking me forever, I kick myself for picking such a detailed square pattern... lol

Ha ha ha. Your base sounds like my Balrog base for last year. Man, am I glad I don\'t have to deal with that again!
:bouncy:
Good luck with finishing it before 1 am. :D

Jeff being LunchBox, not DFD. Though I doubt DFD walked home empty-handed!

Slayer sword went to Chris Borer for his Duel... I thought Mattheiu\'s dreadnought was amazing! Competition was pretty stiff again as it is in Chicago every year, even though Duel and 40K monster only had like 6-8 entries per category.
I managed to scrape by with a gold in 40k Squad for my Seer Council, and a Silver in Fantasy Single for my Standard Bearer, and an HM for a Sarumon that I painted the night before... (thats becoming a ritual for me every year now LotR single the night before GD! haha)

Congratz to all the winners!! I took some pics, hope to post some of em soon (if they came out ok, the lighting in there is horrible and I only had my point and shoot... gonna bring my uber camera next year~~)

I wonder what is wrong with 40K monster category. Even when it was monster+vehicles there were comparatively few entries, now though, after everything 40mm but terminators has been moved into this category it should be full of entries, yet... no.

When I read this yesterday (about 3:30 central) I thought it was premature. Every Games Day I have been to usually has the awards ceremony around 5:30.

Congratulations to Chris. I know that he put a lot of time planning his duel and did a wonderful job with the conversion. It is based on a story from the Horus Heresy.

Had a lot of fun talking with the other painters, especially you Team Canada folks and Jeff, and the Alaska contingent.

Did I meet Elly3438 and just not know it?

I\'m the girl Wappel. :)
