Tyneth and me will be booking the speed painting tables at the GD to finish the snipers ... only joking Mike ;).

Seriously, we\'ve got a few days planned to finish them before the deadline, so should be done in time ;) ... just not much WIP to show.

I kind of like this NMM thing, the models seem to have more of an \'impact\' tha when they\'re done with normal metallics

  1. You\'re light source is behind the miniature
  2. you are shooting against a white background so you can\'t get a proper contrast balance (Try Blue or Grey)

well in my quest for a cheap way to take good pics this is taken on a blue ish background in very dark condirtions i then lightened it up afterwards.i wont do this in future;)

its my bday on monday so i hope my mum will get me some decent lights

James so long as your camera settings are OK you can take a decent picture with desk lamps.

I did an article a while back and it is still in the articles list under photography HERE

Just make sure you get good position on the lamps this can be done with only two lamps if you don\'t have a photo editing package to adjust the lighting afterwards if need be then PM me a link to the photo and I will see what I can do for you.

whoo decent pics using the sun whoooo.

i dont have any lights yet but the sun is okay at the mo what do you think.i think its by far the best mini ive ever done:D:cool:

edit i know there little metal chips everywhere these are now sorted

Yes, that\'s looking fantastic (apart from the metal chips :p). Very nice job indeed, I like the weathering on the gun. The NMM is a little rough in places, but overall the effect is outstanding :)
