Everyone\'s welcome for the rules link. I\'d posted it a week ago on the \"Where are the GDLA rules?\" thread in the General forum, too, but I think it fell back off the first page before anyone noticed it there.

I should be there, not that I\'ve been posting here (as opposed to just lurking) long enough of often enough for anyone to care. But if so, I\'m guessing I\'ll probably be the only CMoNer there with their forum avatar tattooed on their arm.

i think GW mix it up each year. mind you they will probably give a trophy to something that blatantly flounts the rules but is superbly painted. after all you have to think what is that they want......they want a picture, yeas they have their restrictions but gw constantly breaks its own rules (remember the uk 40k silver \"joint entry\") and i heard rumours of goatman getting away with some rackham parts in a mini once

Heh. Then I hope that EricJ understands that it\'s with the utmost respect for and awe of his skill that I say: I hope they bump his entry over to the Open cat -- because I\'m planning on doing a duel, and my odds are long enough as it is; I really don\'t want to have to compete against him!

So yeah, i\'m gunna clean up my Diseased Son a little and then clear coat him for the 3 hour car ride to GD LA and PRAY that i make the first cut, but if i don\'t oh well... just in it to get my feet wet. Hopefully within 5 years i\'ll get a finalist certificate (my mini goal as of now)

Heh, three hour ride... you\'re lucky!!! Mine\'s going to be 4 days!!

I\'m buying my mom\'s car, that I\'ve been waiting to get a hold of since the day she bought it, around that time; however, my parents still live in Detroit! So I\'m flying there on April 1st to hang out for the weekend, taking care of the car paperwork on Monday the 4th, and leaving that night or the next day to drive the car from Detroit back to LA, in time for GamesDay.

Of course when I first scheduled everything, I\'d been thinking GD was at the end of April, not the beginning. Oh well.
