No worries.

Read that there was a controversy. Bashee and Diego had made a joint entry, apparently an amazing diorama, but it was DQ'd as according to the UK rules. I just wish GW would have the same rules at every GD to avoid these kinds of mistakes. :(

There is normally some controversy every year! Thing I would say is that the UK demon was the first and that rule has been in place ever since I can recall - it's one of the reasons I wouldn't let my missus help me with what I was working on and why me and my brother haven't ever put in an entry together.

A "doubles" category would actually be quite cool though :)

I need to now finish off what I'm working on and start thinking about next years entry...

And no, I cannot recall the names of any winners, memory of a sieve.

The big problem with this is that they have ignored that rule in the past at UK GD, this is a bad move. They would be better off just making a seperate category (and allow staff to enter it as well.)

Congratulations mate!!

Must admit I am very disappointed with the photos, they are not showing off the hard work people put into their entries at all - very bad form GW!!! And I must also say that I enjoyed looking at the German GD entries considerably more. Especially Matts two sided diorama!!!

The euromilitaire photos were astonishingly brilliant - posted by DragonsReach and showed off the entries perfectly. Why can't GW make a decent job of it???

i turned up as a finalist in lotr single, a bit disapointed that neither my duel or my monster went on to final round, especilly since i saw some really bad stuff in the finals, esp in monster category. i´m not gonna be grympy tho, it was a fun day, and the judging was relatively fair=) only critique i have is that they moved alot of things into the final round before all minis had even been entered, and that one of the duel cabinets didnt have any light. great day overall, and i´ll be going next year aswell:p

Well done on being a finalist mate. But I find the rest of your post a little worrying! So did some people's entries not even get viewed before all the finalists were picked? That is really unprofessional and disorganised if that is the case. It also means I will be barging my way to the front of the queue next year lol!!! Maybe I can take the opportunity to tread some of the more annoying Young 'Uns underfoot on my way to the front to save our ears and increase the chance of some peace and quiet at the bar. Somebody pass me a warhammer - it's clobbering time.....

Sven; That rule has been in place at GD UK for the last four years.
Discussions have been on here several times about it.

Not the first time, won't be the last as long as they use sales orientated staff to do the initial selections.

It says a lot when the quality of photos taken of miniatures in the cabinets is better than those of the (supposed) studio staff.

Yes I know. What I meant was the same rules for every GD regardless of country, they allow joint entries still in Spain I think and thus the confusion.
