Liz, you definately need to enter something...you just never know...plus its always nice seeing your minis in the case. Not to mention, you are doing Jeremies class about 3 weeks before GDLA so if the models are close to being done, you can go back over them with the new techniques you have learned and spice them up so to speak. Thats what I did last year and it really helped!:D

Ok, let me ask you a question, Aaron. Do you remember the ogre I showed you last year? That was a classic GW ogre but it had a hasslefree mini/victim on the base so I couldn\'t enter it. I\'m doing another mini from the same year in a kind of Monty Python-esque way. Can I enter that? Still GW but very old school. It will be modified (a bit).

If it is a GW mini, you can enter it...your just putting yourself behind the 8-ball if you want to actually win something...old models generally dont do so well. If your just there to have fun and have people appreciate the model for its age and paintjob then you are all good. I liked the model from last year...just dont know how it will hold up to the newer models with equal paintjobs!:D

I have a couple of ideas for new minis as well and the idea for this one is funny so it would be a lark more than anything. Does Jeremy teach sculpting at the class too? Because I need to sculpt some fluffy bunnies for it but I suck at it.

i would love to go someday but i
a: dont think im good enough and
b: i think the wifey would make me pay for the shebang :( since its not really her thing....
and since GW has a firm kung fu grip on my wallet. (dang new shiney 5th edition minis :rolleyes:) that will never happen.

oh and is dirty really ....umm dirty

Yes... Yes I am. :twisted: Y\'know...I miss writing those Letters pages, too.

If you can *possibly* make it at all, it would be great to have you out there! Hell, I know I\'m not going to win anything, either, but it\'ll be fun to enter something and see how it stacks up against some of the greats like Aaron, Meg, and Lili (and the other 50 billion of you awesome painters coming out to LA!!).

I haven\'t painted very much in the past 2 years, so it\'ll be good for me to get some feedback on my work again. Especially from all you masters out there!

So anyone got anything doe for this yet?

I\'m taking a couple of things with me to Jeremy\'s class that I want to enter but I refuse to commit to anything right now because I\'m still shoveling out the junk Mr C left behind when he moved out and it\'s sort of all consuming. I\'ve even stopped painting for the Ebay group and I try and do something every month for that.

Still, I\'d like to know what people have done.

I\'m seriously thinking about coming down. It\'s been a while since I\'ve painted though. I\'m very rusty I\'m sure.

Well, I am just putting the finishing touches on my fifth entry for this year! I can\'t wait to see what eveyone brings!!!

Oh and on a side note. I have been put in charge of GDLA\'s \"Demon Lounge\". There will be six of us working the booth this year. We will be doing painting demos and chattin away to whomever will listing. My team is comprised of painters from across the US, Europe and Australia! So stop by and get some tips or even leave some tips and have a good ol hobbytastic time!!!

I\'ll be attending LA GD again this year. I\'m volunteering at one of the club tables. Last year was our first tentative steps and it was very rewarding.

Sadly, my duties at the tables prevented me from seeing many of the GD entries but I\'m hoping that will change this year.

I\'m am gratified to know that so many here will be attending the event.

I am also looking forward to meeting Liliana Troy, Aaron Lovejoy, Adem Roe, Tim Holly, the list goes on.

This is going to be the best LAGD so far! The list of top painters keeps growing. There will be some very tough competition, that\'s for sure! Can\'t wait to meet everyone again (or for the first time).

hahahah this definitely will be an interesting games day. Im having decent results from my entry, its almost done, finally . But anyway, i cant wait to see everyones entries, i feel this will be an epic games day.

WOW, so many talented painters. I am really looking forward to meeting you guys and seeing all the entries.

I have exactly 1 entry done and one more close to done. I am hoping they will do well.

It is sounding to me like this GD will be one of the best!

I am 90% sure that Andrew Cromwell will be making the trip from Baltimore. Sounds like there will people from all over for this one, UK, Australia, France. I will be traveling from the great state of Maine lol
