Andrew Cromwell\'s gonna be out there?? Awesome! My wife and I saw him at Baltimore (of course), but I was in the middle of photographing and didn\'t have a chance to say hi to him. Hopefully I\'ll get to in LA!

Yeah! Let\'s make GDLA worthy as the grand finale of all North America Golden Demon show. Reading the posts and see who is coming makes me feel fortunate to compete again this year. I\'ll just sit in the corner watching the dog fight between great painters from around the world. Defiinitely a match that you don\'t want to miss :)

I\'m going but no entries this year unless a miracle happens. I might get a silly joke entry done. Won\'t win anything but it should bring a smile to some faces. But I\'m not promising anything.

Don\'t be too harsh on yourself.
Judges have a sence of humour (well some anyway) and a jokey piece might just be enough to catch their eye and make a difference.

Think on this;-
\"We remember more of what makes us laugh, than makes us cry.\"

Now that was from an American educational Theorist (who\'s name I can\'t remember{Rabinsky?}), from when I did my teacher training.

Allan C just arrived in San Diego!!! He has some very nice pieces from his collection to show off in the Demon Lounge...make sure you stop by the booth to check them out and say hi! He will also be at Gen Con Indy this weekend so if you are in the area, you need to check that out as well. He is a very nice guy for sure!!!

LIZ...finish an entry!!! I demand it!!!lol

2 days until GDLA!!!! Is everyone ready. I did a once over on all my entries last night. I have a list of things to fix today and then I am good to go....as long as I don\'t drop anything!!!lol See you all there!!!!!!

I only have 2 entries this year but need to do the finishing touches on my second entry tonight. Cant wait to see everyone again and meet new people. I will be wearing my favorite hat which says \"I am Irish, wanna get lucky?\" Can\'t miss it lol.

Only three entries here. I could finish another one, but I don\'t want to make things down to the wire again and paint in the hotel room Friday night :)

Anyone who hasn\'t seen me before will easily be able to spot me. My picture\'s in my profile, and I\'ll be wearing my grey Led Zeppelin shirt for good luck :D

I have 2 solid entries, IMHO. 1 more from a few years ago, and if I can find 2 others I will have 5 total.

But my son and I fly out tomorrow so it will probably be 3.

I am kinda disappointed because I am almost done with another good 3rd entry, but it won\'t be done in time.

I will be wearing my big green hulk shirt so ya\'ll know who I am.

I am really looking forward to meetin everyone, include a bunch of my painting heroes :D face to face and picking up some good tips and techniques in the process. :bouncy:

Hey GAR, bring that unfinished model with you and maybe you will get some good tips for finishing it up and entering it next year! Thats what I would do.
At last count I have 6 entries. All in the same category which seems kinda strange...not sure I did the calculations corectly....hrmmmm...could be in a little trouble here. :redface:

Anthony, be sure to come hang out with us at the Demon Lounge!!!! If you don\'t I will track you down and peel the skin off of your body!:flame:

Ha ha I plan on going down to the Lounge fo sho Aaron. After seeing some of yours and others entries I dont know if I stand a chance so I will need some pointers from the pros. I have your number Aaron so I will give you a ring Saturday morning. I will call you too Mr. Sterbenz.

I\'ll bring him. That would be great to get some feedback.

However, my 2 solid entries have just been, how do I put it...\"screwed\" by the humidity of Houston.

The great colors I had worked up look like they have been out in a snowstorm. I am hopeful to salvage something of them, but there are bits of particulate and other junk that beaded up on them. I am going to try and fix the damage, but I am not really happy about things right now.

Anyhoo, I look forward to meeting ya\'ll.

Todd Swanson..that name sounds familiar. He must have won a major painting award in past couple years? (think i\'ll just go search online)
