I can\'t believe that Paris Hilton got out after just 3 days i mean 3 days i could sleep through 3 days. And then she gets told she can stay at home instead, cause thats gona be hardship. But well done to the judge who said no and is taking it back to court. Hopefully she\'ll get but back in where her social skills can be refind with Hilda over a nice glass of prison hooch!!!!

Here is why, In California we throw so many people in jail that on average you only serve 1 day for every 10 you are given unless you look at a baby wrong or have 3 strikes, then we\'ll keep you in prison for the rest of your life. (yes, I\'m a bit bitter about this.)
Also, they will throw you in jail and keep you there if you don\'t pay a parking ticket but if you do drugs and promise to go to re-hab and never do it again the laws are set up so that you get out on drug convictions really easy.
I have actually heard a judge tell a guy who came to court to tell them he\'d lost his job and missed a couple of payments on his trafic conviction (a speeding ticket that somehow had gotten up into the $900.00 range on a 20 mile over conviction, don\'t ask me) that if he had his choice he\'d throw the guy in jail for 6 months but wasn\'t allowed and then turn around and treat a dealer like he was a kid who had just stolen his sisters doll. The dealer got time served (1 week) and a charge and it was his 2nd conviction (my brother is a lawyer and I was meeting him for lunch).
This kind of thing goes on all the time here. Normally she would never have gone to jail but she\'s hi-profile and they have to treat them harder than the norm to make themselves look good. Don\'t take it personally. It\'s just California.

Incidentally, Games Workshop has dropped to 7th place until the release of their next financial statement.Now that these made-up statistics have been posted on the internet they are, by definition, fact!

OK, OK, I know the deal...
If we didn\'t discuss and pry into these vacuous \"celebrities\" lives they wouldn\'t BE famous in the first place... But it DOES annoy me that Paris Hilton manages to get her sentence almost entirely commuted (I mean, c\'mon... House-arrest?? With they money she has?) merely because she\'s been whining and not eating.
A large percentage of ANY prison population is on suicide watch at any given time, and merely because Miss Prissy-pants is well known the prison authorities have obviously panicked as they don\'t want to be seen as being responsible for anything that happens to said slapper.
If they really want to punish Paris, and do it in a way that has some sort of effect on her sawdust-filled head, they should have her work (Mandatory) shifts in the morgue, where victims of drink drivers end up, and having be made to meet with bereaved families.
Because I am sure that being allowed home after doing some lip wobbling and eating just as much as she would anyway (Maybe some celery on a Tuesday) is NOT going to have the desired effect.
Otherwise we can only hope that the day she DOES lose control of her high performance sports car, that it is in some remote mountainous area where she is unlikely to hurt anyone else.

But for the ultimate punishment for all this type of crap, I think we should all ignore it. Stop letting the media tell us what is important in this world.

I can\'t agree with you more. The media is crap and tries to convince us that it is really more than it is. Put down your news papers, turn off the tv\'s (except for a few excellent shows on DVD), and ignore what they\'re trying to do.
