On a similar note, an old friend of mine joined the navy after high school. We were from Oklahoma. Other soldiers actually asked him, with sincerity, if he ever had to fight off an Indian attack.
Doesn\'t surprise me at all. People are just retarded these days. Americans especially. It is truely amazing...they don\'t vote, they don\'t understand political issues, they don\'t know global geography(most Americans don\'t even know US geography), and most are ego-centric. All they care about is themselves and don\'t think of themselves as part of a global community.
Lets just invade a country.....and then later wonder why so many people hate us......

I mean, look at my own heritage, I\'m decended from mostly \"Pennsylvania Dutch\" which makes me mostly German (whaaa?).
One of my roommates in college couldn\'t find Pennsylvania on a map. Sad.

One thing to the credit of the people interviewed, the world map is mislabelled : Australia is labelled North Corea. Of course they are still uneducated for not spotting the mistake, but not as much as cnnn wants us to believe.
As a Frenchman living in Australia, I spotted this because the guy who wanted to nuke France put a flag in Australia, he would at least have gotten me!
That was really a good one, I laughed so hard all the office came to see it!

Another geography flub:
apparently a significant number (most?) of Americans think Alaska is an island.
Why not? On all the maps of the USA, it\'s down there in the Pacific next to Hawaii.

Us Europeans often joke about uneducated Americans, but sadly I\'m afraid we\'re heading the same way! It\'s been considered \'cool\' to be bad in school for a while here in Sweden and students brag about how bad they are in various subjects.
Also, among the more ambitious students there is an increasing questioning of the need to learn things, whose usefulness isn\'t immediately obvious, such as any mathematics beyond addition and subtraction, history, chemistry etc. etc. etc.
And in the name of political correctness, more and more politicians are of the opinion that students should have more influence over how their education is structured.
Pretty soon, people will not know anything anymore...
