Not worth the trouble. People always feel screwed over by the judges. Go elsewhere.
A very cynical view from you Jules, :D however there have been widely differing standards and attitudes to the initial judging in the UK, ranging from Outright & Blatent Shop Oritentated Favouritism through to \"I\'m being paid a measly wage so I\'m not even going to bother to look at your figure and just throw it into the cabinet\". Sadly I\'ve seen both and neither do justice to what SHOULD be a premier world class painting event.

However last years UK event had a surprise as there was at least one Collector ie NeilH assisting in the initial selection. And I thought that the initial selection quality was much better.

In answer to your question Rolling Thunder, this year will be my 15th Gamesday and 15th Golden Deamon entry set.

if you\'re open to constructive criticism and feedback and want to improve, do it. Just seeing the other mini\'s in the flesh is worth it.
If nothing else though, the competition can push you to strive to improve and be the best you can be - I know it does for me!
Plus as others have mentioned, if you can get a chance to talk to other painters and share ideas/tips/techniques etc, it will only help you improve in the long run.

Competition can bring out the best and worst in people. Think about what it brings about in you and it may also help you in your decision to attend...
