I am going away for a bit. I mentioned earlier that I needed 10K for health reasons. It seems it has caught up with me. About a year and a half ago my blood sugar levels kept getting higher and higher. In that time, before the incident actually, I cut back on alcohol, and what I eat. But still the levels got higher. Yes, I do exercise. I walk and weight lift. And before any of my critics say anything; when you can bench press 160kgs, leg press 400kg, and walk four miles, then you can make jokes about my size.
Korean doctor like to ‘observe’ a situation instead of acting. So for a year and a half I was observed. I was observed by specialist and regular doctors. I even had a physical last year and the people at the hospital said I was fine. A few weeks ago I noticed white patches that would flash over my vision. A few days ago I would wake up and my vision would be extremely blurred. Over the last few days my view has gotten worse. Even as I type this message I am squinting at the screen. I am hoping, praying the problem can be fixed. I don’t want to lose my sight. But then again, who does.
I am hoping that it is something as simple as having to re-adjust my insulin. I am scheduling an eye appointment at the international clinic on 14 Friday 2008. There is another diabetic here who went to get checked out after his doctor didn’t give him straight answers. So, maybe it will help me too. I hope so.
Anyway, I am off. It might be just for a few days, it might be for a week, or a year. But I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has befriended me.
And pffffft to the others.
Later days.
