Good news for some

Ok. I went to a regular doctor yesterday. They said don\'t worry. Judging from my past experience, I am definitely getting a second opinion. But my vision has cleared up. I also got a new, stronger pair of glasses. No I am not relaxing after this. I will still keep working out, and unfortunately, continue to keep my drinking to a minimum. Keep my drinking to a minimum. :D I can’t ignore some of the symptoms that I have had over the last few weeks. Especially after I did some of my own research on the problem.

@ Liz: I understand what your husband is going through. It is a scary, hopeless feeling. And American health care sucks majorly. It must be really difficult for you two.

@ Supervike. Take care of yourself. Don’t ignore the fact that you have diabetes. If you don’t I might have to kick your butt. And no one will help you. It’ll just be another Bigfoot sighting.;) lol

:D well if Gods out fishing with you, then who\'s minding the store?.....:beer:lol
That would be you and me then Donna.
Whoo Hoo.

Jules glad to see you back, so very quickly.
I understand about wanting the second opinion and I\'d personally be pressing for that \'kin ASAP. (Been there over my Menieries Syndrome).
In the meanwhile, you are doing what every Diabetic I know does and reacting to their condition with sensible precautions and regimens. (In point of fact every Diabetic I know takes far better care of their health that we \"Healthy\" types. So there\'s a lesson for us all.:D)

So it\'s chin up and beer glasses down for the moment, but remember this:
Maintaining Diabetes is affirming Life, not Death.

Blessings, EB, here\'s hoping the docs have nothing but good news from now on. And let\'s hope they\'re actually right about it :D

It sounds like you\'re doing everything you can to take care of yourself, which is great to hear. I know a few people who don\'t take very good care of themselves, and I probably fall under that category some of the time. I haven\'t gone back to the dentist in years :p

Sounds like a big scare, EB. Here\'s hoping your health improves.

I\'ve often wondered what my legs could press. I should try one day.

Anyway, I\'ll raise a jar to your health today.

Sorry to hear about your health. Hope you\'ll come out alright and continue to make good decisions.

I\'ll probably break my legs if I tried 400kg as a side note.

Well, after the situation didn\'t clear up, I got really worried. But I am not breathing a sigh of relief until I get proof. Next week will tell.

I starting going to a doctor once or twice a month since I came to Korea. But I am a long way from healthy.

I think I will work on my Cardio. I will chase Lizcam around the Mancave for an hour a day.;)

Jules, I know that there are different brands/types of insulin. Some work a bit different than otheres. My dear old friend with Type II. the VA keeps trying to put him on one brand (probably cheaper) but he does not do near as well on it as a different brand.

Sorry I\'m not versed well enough to tell you the difference. But it might be something to look into.

Another friend has an insulin pump. She loves it.

Do the research - it sounds like the doctors won\'t. Show them you understand what is going on and they tend to treat you better.

If not, bounce them on their pointy little heads.
