@ Finn, or any other God-Mod
Finn, How does Banning work around here? (Not that I want to be).
I used to be a regular over at GameWinners, I went through this All-Video-games phase. I was a Miniaholic, and I had been on the wagon for five years. No tabletop gaming or figures for five years! But its true what they say, I figured I was better... I walked into my FLGS one day and asked the guy for a mini. I mean, just one couldn\'t hurt, right? My wife had told him not to sell me any, but like any pusher, I handed him a tenner and he discreetly slipped a little plastic package across the counter. Thats all it took, next thing ya\' know I\'m selling my kidneys on E-bay just to get my hands on more minis. But I digress...
Anyway, I was on Gamewinners, and we had a \"BME\" type over there. After awhile he got banned, but almost the same day we got a new member who seemed to know a little too much about the Forum. I PM\'d the Mod and told him I suspected so-and-so was back, and he figured the same thing. It seems the rules over there gave everyone a second chance. Basically, the first time you got banned they only canned your account. This gave everyone the chance to re-invent themselves as nicer, more productive member of the community. The second time you got IP banned, and that was that. Our guy eventually showed his true colors and started mouthing off again, and got his butt perma-banned. Funny thing... a week later everyone was wondering why that forum had suddenly gotten so dull. It seems people miss having a jerk around, at the very least he kept us entertained.
Anyway, which is it? Do people get a second shot, or do they get IP banned the first time?
