As Headquarters decided so... ???

Another Bad Marketing Choice? They say \"You can always go to shops to met peoples and talk about Warhammer\"

lol I kind of understand them though... judging from some of the discussions on their forum. It\'s like babysitting. But it\'s not a wise choice imo.. not at all.

But where will all the disruptive people go if they\'re not there? :eek: Brace yourselves.

But who cares...there\'re enough good warhammer, 40k, etc forums out there...

Make it that much harder for your hobby/customer base to discuss the hobby. Brilliant.

That is a very wierd decision. I can\'t imagine it took alot of resources to keep it going, and from a marketing standpoint, was probably a money maker.

I haven\'t been on GW official forums in ages... was there a lot of GW-negative discussion? I\'ve never seen a forum shut down unless the discussion was going seriously against the controllers of said forum.

There are so many good GW-centric fan run forums that I can\'t imagine the community will suffer much as a result. It is a curious decision though...

This reminds me of all those dictators throughout history that executed messengers who brought them bad news.

I can just see the convo at the BoD meeting -

I don\'t get it. I\'m trying to remember how many other retailers that are supposedly doing well that shut down their forums. Perhaps it\'s the sign of troubles ahead? ???

I really am crushed... I really enjoyed not arguing with all those intelligent, friendly people, and they never slagged me off or were jealous of me winning a YB trophy... that place was a haven compared to this \"coolminiornot\" dump. I don\'t know what to do with myself...

In a way, it\'s an understandable decision. It\'s coherent with their no-email-correspondance policy. They don\'t seem to be all that crazy about this \"new\" Internet thingy that everyone\'s talking about! :rolleyes:
