To be fair, i saw all the entries and today and they were all amazing. I would agree that some should not have been placed over others but the photos are terrible on the site atm. I\'m not sure that the slayer sword was rightly chosen although it was an amzing piece and i think people are underestimating it as its best part is the side u cant see !
Anyways, congrats to all winner :D

Well, that\'s the shame, JAG\'s painting style is so subtle it\'s really difficult to get the feeling his minis have on a photo.... And when it\'s a crappy pic on top... :rolleyes:

Well, anyway, I\'m sure that his mini was worth it. He\'s got nothing to prove anymore regarding painting. And sculpting... :)

PFFFFT!

Just got back. What a bag of shite! TOO MANY PEOPLE!! It was four or five deep. Got so pissed off with being pushed around by extras from \'Labyrinth\' that I gave up on some of the GD sections.... :(

On the plus side, lots of Forgeworld stuff at a fiver and tenner a go :)

I think most of the figures suffer from the photography. especially the slayersword winning figure.. The image is really blurry and I can\'t tell if the highlights are smooth or not. but that\'s a common problem on cmon also.. ;) (just look at my ork nob)

before dismissing the judges, some decent shots of the entries are needed.

UK CMONers DR, Kittykat, medved, SJB etal all made first cuts and finalist tickets but none placed which shows how fierce the comp was (600+ WH 40k.:eek:)
there were more but I don\'t know real names I spent lunch with a few people who I can now put faces to log on names and
jasper( mordor trolls gold diorama) not a CMONer but a nice bloke.
the were spainiards and french and dutch on the podium.

sorry if the places and people in this post are inaccurate I am losing my memory due to the horrors of 6thousand+ geeks in the same room

From what I saw, there are definitely some dubious decisions here.... There were far better entries in some of the categories. My personal fave was the big fat Nurgle fly with rider - it was puke inducing!!

I think those are just temporary pictures for the time being, the UK team always try to get coverage up very quick. But those can\'t be the final pics..

I think I like the Silver in Fantasy single mini most, looks like Joe Hill made it.

But I am guessing that fly was scratchbuilt...looks very similar to some Target models from a few years back..

Not \'that\' similar I hasten to add:D

hum.. I took the marauder pic.. worked with it a bit in photoshop. (levels etc.) and I\'m beginning to realize how beautiful it really is..
