Actually, it\'s a crappy movie with crappy special effects. It\'s the audience participation that makes it good.
One other thing; watch the movie first. It\'ll give you a true feeling of the movie. Then you can watch the imitators do it on stage.

actually, the participation happens mostly during showings of the film, since throwing rice, toilet paper, squirting squirtguns and lighting lighters isn\'tallowed during theatre performances....the shouting back at the players does happen, but only certain lines, like called janet and brad by their \'real\' names....
@ Buddha: eurm...it was a play before it was a movie buddha, and richard o\'brien is still in charge of the production. The original cast isn\'t in it anymore, but that\'s because they\'re old and can\'t keep up with theatre schedules anymore...

Anyway....As far as the Chavs go, a lot of them will grow up. And remember, there are good kids out there. I have a feeling that the \"middle\" kids a slipping down, so the smart ones will have a lot of extra work supporting a lot more chavs & welfare families.
Until they start a eugenics program or start a feudal society again.

Almost 30 years on - we all look dated!! Bought the DVDs and watched them all again for the first time in years. They still look awesome, just some of the haircuts and one or two of the SFX have aged badly. The concept and design work is still outstanding.
And Chewie still looks better than the CG shite that gets churned out nowadayslol
