Happy valentines day to all on cmon (and thier loved ones)

Just spreading the love

so who has a secret admirer, stalker, or other interesting valentines story?

I was up at the crack of dawn with my brother to deliver cards, typical it has to be raining windy and freezing cold, but it\'s all worth it.

So for those of you who have someone to share it with, have a great Valentines day.

For the rest of you \"Bah Humbug\"

I saw the title of this thread, and decided to share the grumpiness, grouchiness and general demeanour of a rabid dog. But then saw that Hoblit did it for me; Bah humbug! So I must admit to some guilt at noshing on the choccies that some crazed bint offloaded at my place...

Here\'s to women; may it just be that we fall into their arms instead of their hands. :p

You\'re too young to be getting them anyhow. :D

Don\'t sweat it, I had TWENTY SIX inches of snow dumped on me Sunday, and we\'re still digging out! That\'s 2/3 of a meter for you Euro types. Got to just love the North-East, it\'ll be 90 degrees and we\'ll all be at the beach in just four months. lol

As far as V-day, I\'m starting to question what it\'s all about. I remember what it was like to be in love, but now I\'m not sure if what I have is the same thing. Don\'t get me wrong, I love my wife dearly... but where did that feeling go that we had in the beginning. You know the one where you want to be with the other person ever single second of every day. Was that just desire? or lust? Or is THIS true love? Sitting day after day looking at each other doing the same things. I used to say I couldn\'t imagine my life without my wife, but now I\'m contemplating \"the things that might have been\". Is love and being \"in love\" the same thing? Am I just here because I fear change? Or being alone? I would like to think this is what it was all about, but now I\'m not so sure. At 42, I think I\'m having a mid-life crisis, and it sucks because normally I am very sure of myself, but now I doubt every decision I make. After all, some little thing I do today could change my whole life ten years down the road. Any of you \'mature\' types go through this period? It\'s funny, I bought myself a convertible two years ago, owned it for one year, and only DROVE IT ONCE! My wife calls that my mid-life crisis, but I think that was just the beginning of something much darker and emotional. I\'m pretty sure she feels the same way... stuck in a rut, but I\'m not sure how we can get out of it.

I bought her a card and a chocolate heart, and we are going out to dinner tonight But that\'s what we do every year, and I\'m starting to feel we are just going through the motions.

To you younger folks out there - ENJOY! That wonderful feeling you get when you first go out with someone you\'re crazy about is an incredible thing, and if you don\'t enjoy yourself now you\'ll regret it and become one of those bitter old folks who chase kids off their lawn.

\"better to have love and lost...\"

Happy Valentine\'s Day!

Markus, glad to see you survived!! The ridiculous thing is, I don\'t live that far away from you and the storm missed us completely! And we\'re the ones who regularly get close to 200\" per seeason. Go figure.

As for the other problems, yeah, I think we all go through it to some extent. Hang in there with it. I definately wouldn\'t recommend the method I used  (get a girlfriend, have a kid, get divorced, lose my job, end up in the \"happy home\" for a bit of \"readjustment\") There definately MUST be a better way :D

gar! I\'m usually a good tempered person, generally a happy kind of girl one who uses \"cute\" excessivly

but I HATE valentines day. With a passion.

its a terriable holiday that is just around so hallmark can get a few extra dollars, it puts pressure on couples and makes us single folk stay inside the shelters of our homes (or at least i do)

its stupid. and i cant stand it

(was that bah-humbug enough?)

Okay, my day turned into a hectic nightmare. I had taken the day off for an emergency dental appointment (I cracked a tooth) and to take my wife to the eye doctor. My son\'s school called and insisted we pick him up and take him to the doctor because they thought he had the chicken pox because of TWO little red dots on his neck. We took him and it turned out to be a couple of bug bites, but in the process I missed my dental appointment. So we dropped off my son and I re-made my appointment for later in the day, then took my wife to her doctor, which took two hours. Then we went to my dentist and we were there an hour. After all of that running around it was 6PM so we went straight to the restaurant. My wife and I waited for over two hours for a table at the Outback, and you would think that would of been a horrible hectic day, but it wasn\'t. We hung out all day together, and by the end of the day we were making out in the restaurant. I know... thats gross, but screw everybody else who was trying to eat because I had realized my life wasn\'t all that bad and I could of done a lot worse for a partner.

To Valentine\'s Day, everyone. - Cheers

@Becca - Don\'t sweat it, you are a very pretty girl and some day some lucky guy is going to get the chance to make you happy, so hang in there kid. ;)
