Harbinger 16 has shipped!

Aaaaaand we’re late again.

Apologies (again). We’ve been working flat out trying to shave time off our delay each month and we were on track to make up around two weeks over the next couple of issues (which would have meant that by about issue 18 we should have been back on time and hitting the shelves around the 15th of each month). However with GAMA this month eating up yet another week of our time we have made the decision to adjust our release date to the 25th of each month – starting (fingers crossed) with issue 17 which should go on sale on or around the 25th of March.

What this means for you is business as usual (in fact given the release dates of the last few issues we’ll actually be earlier than normal). What this means for us is that after 24 hours of traveling we’ll return from Las Vegas to find a couple of pallets of magazines waiting to be packaged and shipped out – but hey! We wanted to release a magazine…

There has also been some confusion over issues 14 and 15 which I can only apologise for. Issue 14 was trapped in US customs since the beginning of December and has only just been released meaning that 14 and 15 hit almost simultaneously – causing some worry as the security of the future of the magazine. Have no fear! Everything is going fine, we’re just experiencing some (a lot) of problems at our end that have conspired to mount up – hacking attempts and viruses caused existing delays to grow, causing subsequent delays and so on. Once again I apologise and for everyone who is missing issues or has had any problems with orders over the last couple of months please re-email us as the virus problems meant that a whole swathe of emails were corrupted (this also applies to those people who sent us showcase entries – please resend them!).

Anyway, with all that out of the way here’s a rundown of what’s in issue 16.

PRIME, SYNTHA: METAL OVER FLESH – The second installment of Phil Walling’s in depth look at Syntha – this month individuals and vehicles.

BRUTE FORCE – Chris Fitzpatrick (Osiris himself) brings us the official strategy guide for the awesome, crocodile-headed, Sebeki!

RAGNAROK – An overview of Rackham’s new mass-battle game by Graham Clarke.

CLASSIC BATTLETECH, QUICK START RULES – Including record sheets, counters and even a hex-map!

DATA – The fourth scenario in Urban Mammoth’s Guxiss online campaign.

ALL ALONE IN THE NIGHT – A scenario for Full Thrust, ambush and defense of a NAC convoy, choose your side!

CONFRONTATION, THE WOLFEN OF YILLA, PART 2 – Graham Clarke continues his in depth look into Rackham’s dog-boys.

SPOTLIGHT ON: S.P.Q.ORC – PAX BOCHEMANNICA – The minds behind the insanely cool Flintloque have a new game on the way. Roman Orcs? What could be cooler?

MARYSE OF RUNEGATTERY ONE MINIATURE TWO UNIVERSES – Jeremie Bonamant’s follow up article for his Golden Demon winning conversion. This month: Painting.

STEP BY STEP, A GUIDE TO PAINTING CROCODILE GAMES’ SOBEKI – Marike Reimer brings the big-crocs to life.

Plus all the usual news, review, previews and the showcase of YOUR painted miniatures.

All the best,

Stay strong

Jamie

I got the issue 16 yesterday great stuff, but i still do not have issue 15 so the part two article seems to make very little sense. Yes indeed I did the contact thing and for sure I will indeed try again.
Glad to get this one in hand even half an article can\'t hurt.

Cool!

Now if only I could actually get issue 15 sometime from Harbinger, maybe I can hope for 16!

why is it always me? Did I piss off the subscription-gods or something?

issue 15

I got issue 14 a long time ago, and received issue 16 this week, but have yet to see issue 15. Are you sure 15 isn\'t the one caught in customs? :p

Hah! My story is weirder. I got 14 sometime after 12. With no 13 in sight, I finally just bought it off the stands at my local games store. Two weeks later I get 13 in the mail!

Maybe if I hope for 16 I\'ll get 15 a short while after?:p

I\'ve had no problems with receiving any of my magazines. ;) Got the latest one Saturday.

Jo; Just be thankful you are in England. Its the rest of us that suffer and must wait patiently every month to see if we are going to receive ours or not..... ???

Still, this is the best mini mag on the market so keep it coming guys! :)

Cheers,

Alright, so issue #15 arrived today. :) I\'ve been starting to get worried since I subscribed on 1 Feb. I\'m yet to delve and ponder its qualities. Thought I was supposed to get #14 too, according to the website, not fussed though.

Anyway, I stuck my nose in it and breathed in deeply - chemical headrush induced headache. And you like the smell? ??? lol

Honestly, besides the price being prohibitive (with the cost of the US dollar and all) the only reason I don\'t subscribe to this mag is due to the S/H problems.

Damn curious about it - but I\'ll have to wait till I snag a copy from someone braver than I.

Hell! Drop a pack of minis each month and spend the cash on a mag instead!

:D

Or are you just sounding off again?

;)

Not just \'sounding off\' again.

I am generally interested in the magazine and it sounds like it is very interesting. I think the last time I took a gander at buying it (I think the dollar was really low that week) it was something like $150 something or another to get it and the miniatures.

Granted, without the minitures I think it was ... bit under a hundred. Keep in mind I\'m going off memory again.

Anyhow, situation settled. Someone \'braver than I\' popped up and is taking a charity case on me. Gotta love \'em.

1) Add me to the list of \'People who got issues 14 & 16, but no 15\' :(

2) The \"STEP BY STEP, A GUIDE TO PAINTING CROCODILE GAMES’ SOBEKI – Marike Reimer brings the big-crocs to life\" might have been great, if not for the fact that the big picture at the start of the article is ON TOP OF the words of the article!

If there is a way of voting for the showcase in the magazine, vote for the one by \"Inge (Zaphod) Evans\"... Okay, just a joke. But my entry is labelled as Privateer Press in error... The website is still stuck at Christmas time, so I have no idea how they decide a winner... I just want to know who else is in the showcase :(

Wheee! I got 16!

Happy day in the mailbox!

Just got issue 16 today!:flip::bouncy::flip:

Thank you Harbinger!
Of course this means my spouse and I will fighting over who gets to read it first for the next couple of days.:p

Does that mean I can hope for 15 now as well?;)
