I wonder what this is going to mean for the new Batman film. Obviously they\'ve finished making it but will his death have an effect on the release date?
Probably will not affect it..although I guess he won\'t be doing a sequel.

This is a human being who possessed huge talent and he deserves to be respected just as any other young man who dies young. These sequel jokes are entirely in bad taste.

3) It could be an accidental death related to recreational drug use. .......... I just think that even if someone has committed suicide, is an occasional drug user, or a full blown addict they don\'t cease to be a human being.
Thank You lono that was exactly how I regarded the whole situation. I know how easy it is to accidentaly overdose on even the most innocuous of prescription medicines so I\'m not going to follow any roads of condemnation.Originally posted by lono
I\'m gutted. I really respected his work and he seemed like a pretty decent guy. News of celebrity deaths doesn\'t normally bother me that much but this one definately brought on an \"Oh shit!\" reaction.
Reading this thread that has changed somewhat to a \"Jesus, what the hell am I reading?\" reaction.
1) Presume much? I\'m aware he could have died of a drug overdose, but that doesn\'t necessarily mean that he has.
2) It could be suicide. If so, don\'t you think that he deserves some pity rather than scorn?
3) It could be an accidental death related to recreational drug use. Now some people seem to have a problem with that, but I bet they take recreational drugs too. There are two frequently used smileys promoting one or recreational drug built into this forum for Christ\'s sake. :drunk: All it takes is one miscalculation with any kind of drug, be it heroin, perscription drugs or the alcohol most people here seem to be so fond of, and you open yourself up to a great many risks. Even if he has died of an overdose it\'s not a reason to assume he\'s thrown his life away for drugs.
You\'re all entitled to your opinions of course, but I really have been surprised by some of them. Maybe I\'m too liberal for this sort of thing. I just think that even if someone has committed suicide, is an occasional drug user, or a full blown addict they don\'t cease to be a human being.

He was a talented actor as proved by the underated film \"Ned Kelly\" as well as [/i]\"Monsters Ball\"[/i] and I am still looking forward to seeing his performance as \"The Joker\". I think that our regret as his audience should be that he will not be able to be witness his continuing growth as an actor.
But our greatest regrt is that he will not be a part of his childs life.

You can\'t blame folks for that though...
The forums are often home to \'gut reactions\'...whether right or wrong is meaningless.
Some folks get angry at news like this, some shake their heads with pity, others make bad jokes....It\'s par for the course. I\'m not disappointed in that at all, it\'s what people do in these types of situations.
Nothing to point fingers at, everyone reacts differently. If they didn\'t this place would suck eggs.
