Music theory is what I was offering, most people seem to think of it as some form of voodoo but it's just a few basic formulas and pattern/shape moving.
 
Unless you're a relative or something it probably just means that it was £140 overpriced to begin with. Just look around, eBay and your local paper etc. I bought this Ibanez EDB-605 for £100 last week from an advert in my local paper:

That is a cracking deal! I had an EDC700 for a while and it was nice, but those 'stacked' control knobs were far too fragile for me. I anded up getting a couple of ESP / LTD basses and never looked back tbh - they are ridiculously well built.

Used to run with a Trace Elliot stack and Behringer modeller set to the TE amp model, basically like doubling the head and made it sound so goddamn powerful, loved it!
